Automakers are no longer rewarded for including start-stop, meaning the feature is expected to become less common in new vehicles. However, manufacturers can still choose to include it as an optional or standard feature. Companies like Hyundai and Stellantis have indicated they will continue evaluating the technology based on customer feedback and market demand.
