I would take the settlement, trade in yours for either a new one or something else. Arbitration seems like it's gonna go against you since they "fixed" the issue and it's hard to prove some of the subjective problems you have now.Looking for feedback. Picking this thread back up after engine has been replaced. Truck still doesn't feel the same as the day I drove off the lot. Suspension is bouncy, vibration in front end, rattle coming from cab - these things were not present before the thermostat blew out cause the engine to overheat and crack the block.
Stellantis has been involved from the start and tbh, an absolute nightmare to deal with. I filed a claim with National Center for Dispute Settlement and have a hearing coming up beginning of August. Does anyone have experience with NCDS? In the meantime, Stellantis wants to make me a compensation settlement of $5000 plus 5 year/75K miles Added Care Plus extended warranty. I can only get this in the event I back out of the arbitration case. If I go to arbitration and decision is unfavorable for me, I can't revisit the offer from Stellantis. Keep in mind, the dealer had my truck for 24 days, so doesn't meet the 30 day Lemon Law criteria. What would you do?
With the $5k you might come out close -ish to even on a trade.
