BREAKING NEWS 2026 Ram 1500 2500 3500 Powertrain Warranty increased to 100k miles

I'm thinking they will start building regular 1500s first for dealer inventory and add a few costumer orders.
I just had to reorder my RHO today as they canceled my 2025 order. The dealers Sales Manager "told me" customer orders are priority before any stock orders. I guess I will see how long it truly will take.

No idea what they’re going to build first (especially since their big reveal was bringing back the Hemi and that’s already been listed as later availability), but even if they started producing 2026 models next week, how many are actually going to be on lots by mid to late August. They haven’t even put up the 2026 build pages for the 1500’s yet.

I mean… I guess I’m not going to complain if my order is ready to go before September, but I’m not holding my breath. Almost qualifies as a bait and switch tactic, given how few people will even have a chance at getting it… and that makes me question why they’d even bother in the first place. Maybe a subtle “apology gift” to all the 2025 orders that got canceled and bumped over to 2026? 🤷

Hard to guess since rho qualifies as special edition and they don't usually start building from those but start with regular 1500s. I'm thinking since dealer orders are open for 26ym rho what the manager ment was customer orders will be priority for rho.

I really hope they change this to include 2025s as it’s a new powertrain year and no different than the 2026s. I’m loving all the changes Tim is making but cmon throw us loyal guys a bone..
This powertrain has been in the Grand Wagoneer for a few years already. Its new to DT platform

I bought the extended warranty, I’m covered, I don’t give this a second thought, not at all.

26MY already being built in high volumes...
Source?

From what I’ve been seeming around the forum rumor mill and YouTube, put the earliest switchover in the next week or so and a lot more saying early to mid July.

If they are already rolling on the 26’s, then I wonder why they still haven’t gone live with the 26 build pages on their website. Seems odd, especially given all the latest announcements about the Hemi and this Warranty promotion.

That’s normal. In years past, it’s taken as long as 5 months after start of production for them to add the current model year to the website.

Not doubting you or anything, but this is the first I’ve seen anyone saying they are already rolling 26’s down the assembly line. Not quite a week ago I saw a comment from someone who works at the factory say mid/late July at the earliest (barring any delays or shortages). Granted, a lot has changed since then, since they’ve now rolled the remaining 25my orders over to 26 and what not. Was mostly just curious where you’re getting the info from.

This powertrain warranty doesn't excited me if it doesn't cover all the potential electrical gremlins that trigger the powertrain to go into limp mode and render it undrivable. Now if they include all these sensors, relays, batteries, etc that cause the truck to throw check engine lights and limp around then YES that will be a game changer.

However, I can see where maybe they feel the 10yr warranty will ensure confidence in those questioning the long term reliability of the Hurricane engine itself. But again, if you look around on this forum, its way more electrical complaints than powertrain.

This is my first Ram order, so no idea what was considered normal. Last vehicle I ordered was a Gen 1 Raptor about 13 years back. lol

I just figured they’d at least have the build page on the website updated for the 26MY by or around the time they started building them… especially considering the individual model info pages have been already. Then again, I've yet to see much praise for Ram’s web IT department around here, so I probably should’ve known better! 😂

Definitely stinks for us 2025 owners! That’s actually a game changer for me as I tend to keep my vehicles for quite a while. I also figure that a significant resale deterrent for the 25s

Finally a silver lining for all of those with outstanding RHO orders that just got bumped to 26 MY, though.

EDIT: on some further reading, I see the 100k warranty isn’t transferable to 2nd owners, so the resale concern for 2025 RHOs should be negligible.
Shouldn’t factor into resale since the 10/100 power train warranty for ‘26s isn’t transferable.

Is any of the powertrain warranty transferable?

I was bummed when they told me that my truck I ordered in January was damaged at the factory and couldn't be sent out and I would have to put in a new order and the 1,000 dollar rebate would no longer apply but I would much rather have the new warranty than the money, and I think the 26 will have less issues.

I would hope they have ironed out most of these issues for the 2026 models...that said, there are a number of 2025 models built recently that still have issues. Not sure there was much downtime between 2025 production and starting 2026 to figure all of their issues out but we will see.

This warranty makes no sense, even IF they are producing 2026s now (which goes against all the other sources I've heard) It's realistic to imagine that we won't see those being delivered for at least another month. That would be end of July/ early August. But then you have to take delivery by 9/2/25? So what only the buyers within maybe a months span are getting this warranty? I can't remember a car company ever treating factory warranty like some temporary incentive.
