Dead AGAIN

I use the RAM app and request a tow. Haven’t spoken to anybody and haven’t paid a dime for the tows. No questions asked.
I don't see this anywhere in the app

Honestly i'd get a 26 but transferring all of my parts over seems daunting - not to mention having to re-tint and re-ceramic coat it.
While I don’t have any issues…and its appealing to get a 26 for essentially 0 cash, I can’t give up my one of one first edition 🤣😂🤣

I feel for you, you’ve put a lot into you truck to make it yours. I hope they can get it figured out.

Ok, so I type a whole story how to get there. You should go through the "assistance" selection. It used to ask you questions about what was needed. Keys, jumpstart, tow, , fuel etc. But I see now that they have that changed!!! I used it ten days ago without speaking to anyone. Now I see you have to call somebody. This is total BS because it was very easy to use.

For those who mention switching to the raptor, the issues you are having with the ram are the reasons why I unloaded my raptor. Electronic gremlins plague everyone it seems. If I have issues with this thing i’m buying a used corolla and calling it a day lol

Sounds to me like you're the reason they got rid of that feature lol

Local farm near me has a mint 1980s Ford pickup for $15k. Just get rid of the electronics altogether

Yeah my Japanese car has NEVER failed me. But it can’t tow our boat and it can barley get up the driveway without scrapping 🤣😂…but for a DD it’s pretty damn fun.

Perfect back up truck!!!

My thoughts are its not the batteries themselves. Something with the modules goes wacky and drains them , very random too as we saw with @MattH89 , he had over 10k miles before the batteries got drained. They need to figure out what the hell is draining the batteries.

As far as replacement options if they dont fix this, like others stated, raptors have their own issues and I really cant see myself in another unless maybe an R but hard to eat the pricetag and downgrade interior and so on for nearly the same performance as RHO. I think a 2026 rho would be my only option IF I have any issues. I just really love mine and would be a pain to go through the switching process to a 2026. Thanking my lucky stars every day cuz I cant imagine not having this truck. A 23 or 24 TRX is somewhat appealing but getting close on warranty. I like all the upgrade in the RHO and better handling with same same performance.

Sorry on the last post. Commented before I was done typing by accident .

There is probably a lot of hope and cope in what I'm typing here but I have a theory that might explain my situation.

Ever since I've gotten my truck, running voltage has been rock solid at 14.4v. As I do more and more research on "smart alternators," it seems that a voltage that high should only be when the battery is sending a signal that it needs to be charged. In normal ops, you'd expect to be in the low 13s.

Since mine never dipped below 14.4, it's possible the battery was always bad and just eventually gave up the goose at 11.5k. The other thing is that my issues all started the day I installed my new bed cover and left the bed light on + operated the power gate about 25 times test fitting it.

My new batteries hang out right around the low 13s most of the time so far, and come up on coasting as you'd expect with this setup.

So my HOPE is that the battery was always bad but hanging on, then I got it down to a point of no return and it never recovered.

I hope. Maybe. Probably not. Wait til tomorrow when I post it's dead again.

Also just for reference I checked and the first set of batteries got replaced at 4600 miles, i'm now at 6400.

I'm finally getting my key control module replaced tomorrow. My main issue was my driver side touch to enter not working. But, I've also had a single issue where it was on the driveway dead and my wife had it be weird at a light with the autostart. I'm hoping the module fixes it all. I've been waiting since May. Couldn't even get an ETA on the part. I see that mopar delisted the 2025 module. Hoping that's where all of these problems lie.

Is this the RF Hub that you're talking about?

Wireless control module receiver is what it's listed as. I've gotta get my fobs and credit card thingy replaced with it.

I had that issue with my truck. I came out to start it, and it was dead. I had it towed to the dealership and they found that the electronics, never turned off. It was an ecu issue. Once that was replaced, I haven't had that issue again.

It is kind of comical to think about this...I walked away from my RHO to a Raptor, you vice versa...both because of electrical issues, etc., thinking we just dodged a bullet.

A corolla has never sounded so sexy before in my life.

I have been eyeing a 2024 grand touring...just need to keep mentioning it to my wife until she gets annoyed and tells me to get it. Soon...very soon.

@tbolts10 So how'd you ended up making out? Have you made a decision yet?

This is getting insane. I love this truck but i'm about done. I've already had battery issues, and they just got replaced. Today I go out and it's dead again; and dead to the point that it won't even unlock. I manually unlock it, get the hood open and had to use a mega jump pack to get it running. It then sputters and dies multiple times - when it finally does stay running the electronics are all out of whack, it's stuck in 4x4 high, binding and won't turn out of the driveway etc. Absolutely insane - add this to the fact that the last time it was at the dealer they did an alignment and my steering wheel isn't straight, i've got condensation in the mirror, a vibration from the tires after a balance and rotation, they put the SO oil in my HO motor ETC ETC ETC. Literally might go to ford and trade this for a raptor tomorrow. The thought of trying to limp this thing to the dealer to then get told I can't get a loaner for my 90k dollar truck is infuriating.

Thanks for listening to my rant. I don't understand how Ram did this - my 19, 21, and 23 Rams were great. I fully planned on continuing the trend of getting a new Ram every 2 years but definitely will not now. Does Ram actually care @RamCares ?!
Hi @tbolts10,

Please send a PM with your VIN and servicing dealer! We'll do what we can to help get this properly investigated and resolved. As several others have mentioned, it will be worth looking into other parts of the truck beyond the battery to see what is causing this issue.
