What's new

Dead AGAIN

So far @RamCares has been awesome in getting back to me and helping expedite a part to the dealership. It's the dealership service department that never gets back to me, even when I call to check status on my truck. Tomorrow will be a solid month that it's been at the dealership service dept. And they had they part they needed to fix it since Tuesday. I called to check status and it was the typical let me get with the tech and get back to you. But they still haven't called. I'm like you and have my eye on a ZR2 Bison that I'm considering since I might be able to actually drive it.
Ya mine remains at the dealer as well. They tested batteries and said they are “fine” however they are trying to figure out why certain systems keep turning on even with key fob no where near the truck. Which is causing the drain on the batteries.

Hope you guys have good updates. My dealer called this morning and said the shifter module is bad and needs to be replaced. Part is a week out.

Update: Dealer is now no longer responding to my requests for updates. I'm literally considering going up there with a fucking duralast battery, installing it and driving it across the street to ford to trade it for a raptor. I'm paying all of this money for a nice truck and I have a fucking enterprise nissan rogue sitting in my driveway. This is insanity.
I've been lurking on this forum since last year figured I would wait and order a 26MY but after seeing the same issues continue in 26MY that happened to some, not all in 25MY I will have to pass. I remember when Fiat cars were known for electrical gremlins like 40-50 years ago but I would have thought maybe by now they would be resolved.

Man I hope you get some results because I know if I bought one and had a ton of issues I would need bail money because I would drive it right through the showroom window of the dealer I purchased it at.

It's sad that no manufacture these days don't have issues...CRAZY.

Good Luck

It's not the dealers fault automotive manufacturers don't care about quality nor fo their suppliers they buy from. I feel sorry for the dealers having to deal with pissed off customers because of poorly built vehicles.

@INTIMD8R I agree with you and yeah I would never do that but I would be pissed off enough to for sure. It is true the manufactures need to step up and fix/resolve issues and not put it all on the dealers or make the dealers look like the bad person in the equation.

Sounds like they're just throwing parts at the wall and hoping.

Exactly what my dealer/Ram is doing to my truck atm. I just want my truck back, so I take it straight to Ford and trade it in for a Raptor at this point.
When yours in fixed, you get the raptor.....and if mine ever gets fixed I'm driving it straight over to a chevy dealership to get a ZR2. LOL

Update: Dealer called this afternoon right before closing and said it's ready for pickup - they replaced the batteries and performed a software update. They apparently did not address the other issues I asked them about, so I imagine I won't be able to pick it up until mid next week.

I am not confident that this is going to fix the issue honestly. I have a sneaking suspicion this will happen again, which will be the 3rd time and take it well over 30 days of ram having my truck which means it's lemon time. We shall see.

Probably simpler to just trade in. Assuming you bought from MD, Carvana is offering essentially purchase price. I know because I'm getting my ducks in order in case my batteries die again.

That's good to hear. I've been looking at Colorado ZR2's with the bison package and was worried that they'd try and offer 60/70% of msrp. Guess I need to really start doing my homework since it's been in the shop for over a month now.

It's very easy to get an offer from Carvana and they don't pester you afterward which I appreciate.

I sold my GMC to them when I bought the RHO and I will never sell a vehicle another way. So simple and efficient.
