Exhaust Options

Teaser of y’all’s truck?

Yes.

I will say their video didn't do much justice. Kevin's been driving with it for about 2 1/2 weeks now.

We have a bunch of systems on order. We will have our own video to help push them.

I agree, hard to tell from the video- too much music and other noise to really hear it, but I did think I caught an idle in there at one point and it sounded much deeper toned.

I guess that is why they said "teaser" lol. They had the truck quite a few times and have shot plenty of content with it so i'd imagine more to come.

That’s absurd. I’ve had exotic cars with cheaper downpipes than that.
Right! I guess the price of cats has gone up because of all the theft, but still.

Retail on the AWE is going to be $1999 -/+ for the tip options.

They dont have any intentions on making them.
Wait, so they only made downpipes for the SO engine? Strange choice considering the RHO is the real sport truck in the lineup.

Could be. Are they 200 cell cats and is it confirmed they will not trigger a CEL? That’s huge since you can keep the car on stock software to avoid questions on warranty.
Their kit says it includes O2 extensions, it's not 100% clear as to what the extensions are(wiring or extenders for the sensor itself). If I had to guess, they are extensions for the sensors that pull the O2 further away from the exhaust flow so that the post cat O2 doesn't heat up too quick and throw a code.
I assume the extensions and a high flow cat won't throw a code, however... there are some companies that use the post cat o2 for fuel trims. Not sure I'd want to install any downpipe without a tune

I’m all about the down pipes and the free flow cats, but I’m not spending 5k.
Most all of these companies completely missed the mark on offering an exhaust for the RHO -which is the best VALUE truck on the market.

The whole point of the RHO was bang-for-buck vs the TRX or Raptor. I’m sure everyone here paid $65-80k for their vehicles with rebates/discounts.

Expecting people to throw $5,000 on a $65k truck for exhaust is absolute crazy work.

This is exactly why I'm going with the AFE for $1,200

both videos were taken in sub-freezing temps

Thanks for sharing. Very easy to compare the way you posted the videos.
I was looking at the MRT Trail Rated.

Has anyone explored a TRX catback on an RHO yet?

The systems look very similar. Both systems are designed around the exact same skid plates, transmissions, transfer cases, axles, spare tires, etc.

I would assume the downpipes/headers are different lengths from the TRX, but the systems look extremely close. I mean, there’s literally TRX branded parts all over my RHO.

From the X-pipe back, I wonder how much, if any difference there is…

Can anyone confirm if the exhaust hangers are in the same places?
