Exhaust Options

The truck has factory valves controlled by pressure which were prone to issues on previous mopar products.

does drone if you drive it in BAJA Mode etc where it hangs onto the gears but personally i think the stock exhaust does that too.

AWE is also hand made here in America and built beautifully and serialized. Quality control on their stuff is top notch compared other brands.
I hate buying blind but almost ready to pull the trigger. Hopefully they let you upload some videos next few days.

Why must you temp me lol

People who got Vulcan need to post some videos 😂 so I can just get it and go enjoy my 20 days trip. Asked a few who got it about drone and all I got was I will be happy 😳

It does drone , it has a constant Humm zero rasp so hard to explain ... it is most annoying when waiting for it to settle In to 8th gear at 70 75 miles an hour . I recently realized it is a bit more tame when left in auto vs sport mode .

I think that’s unfortunately going to be the nature of this engine.

Is there any more glorious turbo noises with any of these exhaust options or is it pretty much absent? I imagine the down pipes with high flow cats are key to get some more whistle...

Precisely. We won’t get the noise we all want until downpipes are installed. In every turbo vehicle I’ve owned, the DP was the single biggest volume increase for turbo noise. However, I hope someone offers a pair for less than $2900 lol

May be an outlier here but honestly i like the stock exhaust. Going to rock it for awhile. Loud enough when you are on it and sounds great, then nice and quiet when you want to cruise. I see no reason to change it at this point. Ram did a good job. Sounds like one mean sport truck. Especially on a cold start. Entertaining an extreme but will wait awhile. I was at the lake house over memorial with a few buddies who have TRX and they were pleasantly surprised as well and were fans of the stock exhaust in person. Commented on how it sounds like a BMW M3, id have to agree. Much better than the trombone Raptor.

I dont mind keeping the stock mufflers. I want a cat less down pipe that doesn’t throw codes. I believe the O2 sensor is on the upstream (intake) side of the cat after sticking my head under the truck so maybe the truck can’t tell if the cat exists or not.
