Exhaust Options

Been thinking about hitting the muffler shop, having them chop off the valves and stock muff, and installing this.

That’s probably not a bad plan. Much less expensive option, I’m sure, and the existing pipes and tips need not be replaced.
Exactly! Also with the xpipe being inside a bit of packing, shouldn't drone as much. Feel like after this, it is basically the aFe with packing around the xpipe. Muff $180 maybe $200 to install. Save a grand over the aFe.

$2900 for downpipe section, $1800 for cat back, which is really from the xpipe back.
IMO, they have the best sounding exhaust but that is serious coin. Now if they show HP improvements…that could get interesting.

So what are you waiting for?!

Do us all a favor and get one of those installed, and report back with some sound clips!

I have some things around the house to finish, then I'm gonna get to it.

Borla needs to get its act together and release a sound video for its RHO offering.

Personally, for me, it comes down to MagnaFlow or AWE, unless Borla delivers a monster...

I've been on contact with borla early this year and they told me about 2 months ago it's 3 weeks away.

All I can think of is their test truck developed Xmas lights 🤣

I had the AWE on my 20’ Rebel. My golf buddy has the Borla on his Rebel. The Borla sounds better and more alive to me. Don’t get me wrong, the AWE is no slouch but I liked the Borla much better.

I pre-ordered the AWE. Looking forward to getting it installed. I think Nick said they were targeting some time in June to possibly start shipping.

I went AWE as well. They made some great downpipes for my McLarens and never had an issue with them, or the company. If they can make great parts for cars like that, no doubt they’ll make a solid product for the RHO.

Thoughts? Is this the first electronically controlled valves exhaust out there for the RHO?

I also looked at it since not many options are out yet and this pre-order sale is nice. But but just not willing to pull a trigger on it from previous bad experience.

I don't remember exact year but I think was about 2018 so things maybe changed but I pre-ordered exhaust for M5 with about 1 month eta. Let's just say a couple months later tried to get money back and was told it's about $1000 restocking fee. Luckily I ordered with cc and just disputed a charge. I remember order was placed somewhere around May and after cc dispute I still received email following year in January that it's ready to be shipped but they missing a payment 🤣

I looked too, seems like cheap shiny motorcycle exhaust from the Philippines...🤣🤣

Personal preference but I don’t feel like adding a bunch of vacuum hose and T fitting that runs under the truck just to control a valve. You’re begging for a vacuum leak.

$2k and valves are not included? Drone?

The truck has factory valves controlled by pressure which were prone to issues on previous mopar products.

does drone if you drive it in BAJA Mode etc where it hangs onto the gears but personally i think the stock exhaust does that too.

AWE is also hand made here in America and built beautifully and serialized. Quality control on their stuff is top notch compared other brands.
