For those considering running low octane fuel in your RHO, read this!

All modern vehicles have knock sensors and are developed to run on all E10 or less gas sold in the US. I run 87-93 gas in the RHO with no isses, towing or not. Runs just as good on either, running low octane you will lose power output for sure - maybe 100Hp - but its the beauty of Fuel Injection and Knock detection as the engine calibrations are designed to protect the engine from the user. When you write the spec, you're more in the know... Adding Ethanol will help with knock, but creates other issues in the system - water and corrosion - would run 87 any day over the odd stuff E fuels in the midwest.

This should clear it up for everyone ๐Ÿ˜‚

Gotta believe we bought these trucks, not to save money at the pump. I am not sure why someone would run the change of ruining the motor to save a buck at the pump.

Play the game you spent your money on or donโ€™t. If you canโ€™t afford it, itโ€™s ok, donโ€™t try to justify spending $1 less per gallon.

But donโ€™t think we were all fooled and that the manufacturers were trying to juke us out of money.
