Head Room

Well, I did try the passenger seat, and it was the same. Just got back from the dealership and sat in a RebelX with a moonroof and Rebel without. The sales rep said there's about a 2-inch difference. I was able to tell immediately with the extra headroom. As to why I'm 6'3" and can touch my head on the roof with the seat all the way lowered? Guess my spine is long or something. Your guess is as good as mine, but definitely weird people who are taller have a good amount of room. Maybe I am sitting weirdly, but I'm just trying to sit in a comfortable position. That's nothing too crazy, in my opinion. Love the truck and will continue to enjoy it. Just watching out for bumps so I don't hit my head :ROFLMAO: . Thanks for the feedback and troubleshooting fellas. Case Closed!

This is crazy. Something isn't right, clearly some big dudes having no issues and clearly you're a big dude that looks like you're crammed into a mini cooper, lol. Man my conspiracy theories are going crazy in my head right now. I, too, am curious to see the result in another RHO or Rebel, with a moon roof, a like for like comparison, wondering if your seat isn't going all the way down due to a fault or whatever? Did you sit in the passenger seat yet? Or...you're really a 7 foot badass NBA player and just mind fucking us all lmao. Man I sure hope you get this figured out...what if you're the only one driving a chopped RHO, that would be kinda badass too, I might trade ya and slam that beeotch on airbags :ROFLMAO:
It would be cool if mine was different in a weird way like that, but it doesn't seem to be the case! :ROFLMAO:

@ICEXIX , guessing you have a tall torso and short legs? Who knows, regardless glad you tested other trucks.

I STILL haven’t gotten to mine. Got home, didn’t feel like moving the truck to wash it, hence, never got in it 😂

Chris

PS, Thank you for your service.

I’m 6’8, 225. I have a SHORT torso and very long legs, but no issues in this truck and I have the moonroof. I think if I had a more proportioned torso I would have some challenges. I’ve had challengers in cars, but never in either of my two trucks.

Yep, I've concluded that I have a longer torso. @RamFan says he's 6'1" and wears a 34" inseam when I am 6'3 and wear a 32. So, it is what it is. I had no issue in my Ford with no moonroof. And after my trip today, I think the RAMs would be fine without a moonroof too...anyone trying to trade? :ROFLMAO:

Oddly enough, I never had an issue in cars. Everyone I've been in felt fine. Which is wild when you compare the interior to the trucks lol.

It's all good. Thank you for the thought of wanting to take a picture and help out haha.

My pleasure.

Glad I came across this thread. I’m 6’6 and the initial comments had me very nervous thinking I wouldn’t be able to fit in mine once it came, lol

You could get a porthole cut in the roof for your head. Might be nice on sunny days

Exactly. Here is one option.

I never thought it would be a concern but unless you have a longer torso I suppose you should be fine. Check out a RAM dealer and hop in a Rebel!

I am 6 foot 6 inches tall and can not fit in a Ram 2500 with a moon roof. My head is about is about a half inch from the headliner. No moonroof = no problem. The seat in the 2500s doesn’t go down as far as a 1500 and there is a lot less leg room as well. I wonder if they put a 2500 seat bracket in your Rho.

Eh, depressing but is what it is.

This is worth asking the dealer to check. We have seen some other oddities between RHOs in this forum. If nothing else it will give you a little more peace of mind knowing you investigated everything because this just doesn't make sense.

I guess so, got picture of me sitting slouched/slid down so my head doesn't hit. If I go back further I really feel like I'm low ridding it lol.
Your not hitting the roof, it looks like the sunroof has nothing to do with your problem ! It looks like there is more than enough room to the sunroof. Looks like your hitting the frame. Don't know how you would fix that. I'm betting theres something under the seat that is stopping it from moving down !

Nope, checked there and went to the dealership and verified it's the same in other moonroof optiond trucks. Just how I fit In RAMs. Sad indeed but not a deal breaker for me for awhile at least.
