Here at SEMA

So what I found out today Direct-Connection is working with Holley so Nick is right. The engineer at Holley was saying it was the Diablo Sport Cat 6 . They will slap a Mopar sticker on it probably.
This makes me so happy. Can't wait for this. Thanks for sharing all this info @one2doo

I went to a ZF hp8 lesson today. What a great built unit. My main question was what temperature should this transmission run? The main engineer in the picture said 40 to 50 Celsius. Which is 104 to 122 Fahrenheit. So why does Ram put a 170 degree thermostat in it was my second question. He said to warm it up fast for smoother shifts and to thin it out for fuel mileage. If you look up checking fluid level it states it must be 100 degrees for proper level. I recently installed a thermostat bypass easy job after you unhook the drive shaft and move it over. I’m running 117 to 155 Fahrenheit with East Tennessee mountain temperature. The transmission shifts perfectly The company I ordered it from was https://yourautohuckleberry.com/store/transmission-parts/8hp70-8hp75/8hp-thermal-bypass-bundle/. Rev max also has one.

Did you ask if the bypass has any effect on line pressures?
Did you lose any fluid switching out for the bypass?
Did you need the replacement plug?

If one of you SEMA attendees 100% confirms that they are in fact releasing a Mopar version of the Cat 6 , please do share . I have a brand new sealed DS Cat 6 sitting in my garage that I’d like to sell if this is the case.

I’m down to spend a bit more cash for the same product that will not put my extended warranty in jeopardy.

From what I gather, @Mikey Swift could produce more HP by blowing into your hood scoop, and it’d probably cost you less, too!
I actually charge triple that amount...you have to pay for quality. Maybe that's why you never call...😥

Damn over $1k for an intake 😮 someone tell me that 19hp is legit 👀
This is why I keep asking for reviews too!

Wait for the Mopar one coming out next month they told me the airflow is so tricky the aftermarket hasn’t got it.

My truck was used my the S&B team to test out their intake this past summer . Just got a call earlier this week that they would like to install the first batch of production ones on my truck . I was under the impression that all intakes were quite similar but looking at these price differences has me thinking 🤔

Who has a printer, Mopar knock off stickers, and the dimensions of the Cat 6? I have an investment opportunity…..
*IF* they release a Mopar Cat6, they would be hard pressed to deny warranty claims on a JB4 if the tune numbers were similar...I think if you kept it on Map 1, you'd be fine. Also they'd have to prove it was the tune that messed it up. The fact that they are even entertaining this, means that the engine can handle it and will most likely be fine.

No problem with line pressures.
Just a couple of ounces of losses
I got the plug but didn’t need it. Still used it.
No leaks.

Oh, my friend is very happy with his JB4. I was just thinking of slapping some stickers on the cat6 and selling for 5x the price to those that need it to say Mopar.

Shifts are still smooth as butter.

It doesn’t show up with these piggyback units.

Lemme get my printer... 🖨️

The engineer at Ram said as long as we don’t go over 700 hp everything should be good even the transmission.
Please go back and get him saying that on video!

Long term, or in short bursts?

I think some of the maps with E20 must be pushing close to 700hp at the crank.

I’m still very curious what happens to system longevity with how much power this little 3.0 can produce. Engine, turbos, tranny, etc. how is it going to hold up to 100-200-300k miles?

I’m leaving Vegas in the morning. He also said that last year.

In his words, these are being released next month?
