Just ordered a JB4! I'll have more tuning options with the JB4. I already added a Qagea Throttle Response Controller for $80 on AMAZON. Does the same job as a $300 pedal commander. Can't wait to feel the difference in power!
I appreciate you posting this as I’m sure there are plenty of people waiting to see what potential down-sides exist with these performance tuners.Well I had diablosport installed at under 300 miles. I took it off because I had a vacuum hose keep popping off and once the dealer replaced it at around 500 a change, I installed the JB4.
Now I’m at 1,600 problem free miles. Hopefully I didn’t jinx myself lol
Agreed but I wonder if that was an issue before the tuner. The couple pounds of boost shouldn’t have hurt itI appreciate you posting this as I’m sure there are plenty of people waiting to see what potential down-sides exist with these performance tuners.
Did you end up having to cover the cost of those service visits? I recall someone having these hose issues and hadn’t put together that was with aftermarket mods.
Sweet! Be interesting is the JB4 can overtake the DS. So far it hasn’t been able.Just ordered a JB4! I'll have more tuning options with the JB4. I did, definitely more throttle response.Any one run the new update for JB4?
How did you update it?I did, definitely more throttle response.
Through the app. Just pull up the app and it’ll prompt you.How did you update it?
The DS will change your day to day driving because of the way the integrated pedal commander feels so your pedal response will feel better than stock and will give you that more instant power feel. You’ll definitely notice a difference whether you get JB4 or DS as far as performance. Go with either of these platforms and even if you don’t WOT your truck everyday, you’re going to love the noticeable difference every time you drive. As far as MPG goes… I’m not sure because all I do is gun this truck whenever I drive it. Not necessarily WOT or launch every time but just passing cars and giving it more gas than usual is what happens when I leave my drivewayOkay, some questions for those of you who have installed these. My day to day driving very rarely includes WOT. I’ve launched my RHO twice, and might do it a handful of times through the course of ownership. Just being honest, I didn’t buy my truck for drag racing.
That said, I do punch the throttle more often when rolling and absolutely appreciate the way this engine pulls and transmission goes through gears.
How much does a Cat6 change the day to day driving, for someone who isn’t attempting to achieve a 4.0s 0-60 every week? Will I notice the power, or is it only hugely beneficial for WOT runs?
What has this done to your MPG? Assuming your daily driving is unchanged and you remain on 91 octane, would you expect MPG to decrease with these piggyback systems?
I’m still trying to assess whether the performance is really applicable to my use case, and if there are any noticeable detriments to this modification.
Huge difference in everyday driving with the cat6. I drive on map3 daily with a mix of highway and city and i'm averaging 15 mpg.Okay, some questions for those of you who have installed these. The first time I drove with the CAT 6, the tank was preemptively filled with about 10 gallons of 101 octane, rest of the tank was 91. Roughly 95-97 octane mixture. Something like that. Drove basically the entire tank on map 3 with throttle setting at +4 and it was EXTREMELY sensitive and jerky for my liking as far as daily drive ability.Okay, some questions for those of you who have installed these. Beta for which one?The beta is VERY cool and offers a ton of information. Not sure what I can share(I asked and am waiting) but everyone will love it once it’s released.
