Knocking noise

Also the dealership I took it to is not the dealership I bought it from, to me it sounds like they are just giving me the run around and blew off my scheduled appointment to make priority room for customers that actually bought from them bc they are too busy…. But I could be wrong, some clarification on this whole “DID” process/timeline would be nice. I’ve asked them about a time line they said “they have no idea, it’s out of their hands, it’s whenever RAM gives them the green light and they have no idea when that will be” Sounds like my truck is gonna be there for a really long time…… 😕
Not sure what state you're in but might be worth looking into Lemon Laws there. I know here in Texas if your vehicle is at the dealer for 30 days or more during a 24-month period and you're not provided a comparable vehicle to drive (this terminology is subjective) it qualifies as a lemon. My 2024 GMC Sierra AT4X spun a rod bearing at 21k miles back in March and it was a 8-week wait for a new motor. They gave me a truck to drive for the first couple of days but then put me in a Buick Enclave for the remainder of that time and my attorney basically said I didn't have a case because they gave me a vehicle to drive. Comparable? Absolutely not! But he said a judge would only consider "comparable" if I used my truck for work and no not just transportation between points A & B. For instance...a welding truck, etc. So just saying.....if the drag their feet and you're not provided a vehicle.....you may have recourse.

Update. The dealership called this AM said they ordered the parts, (2 axle rods) and it’ll be fixed by the end of next week so all is well. I’m not too upset just hoping this will be the only hiccup, still love the truck. It was interesting that I hadn’t read of anyone else in this forum that had the same problem. I’ve read about it happening on TRX’s a little, but not RHO… yet. Hopefully I’m just in the minority. I did read where people in the tuning community said they installed aftermarket reinforced axel components on their TRXs to handle the extra force and said it was a good idea to do regardless for TRX.

I got it! Thanks a lot! The dealership ended up ordering the parts it’ll be fixed by the end of next week, all is well, I still love my RHO!

Axle rods? Is that like a muffler bearing or Johnson rod?

I hope they meant axles. You’ll let us know :)

I’d be a little bit shocked if the broken axle didn’t cause any other damages. Any word on that from your dealer? It would just be amazing to me that axle halves could be swinging around under there like two tornadoes without hitting anything else. Just the fact that you said it made some loud sounds makes me pretty suspicious. Hopefully all of that was checked out well and you can be back on your way in no time.

Yea you are right, I’m going to press them about it all
