Living with the JB4

Right there in your picture where it says options on the tab to the right
Found it! Thanks for the quick response. Is it ok if he downloaded and flashed beta firmware. And then selected option 6 and saved changes afterwards? Is there any special order to do this? Not familiar with these things

Cheers

Stable is what they recommend. I’ve noticed the beta has been changing recently so keep an eye on the downloads and read the descriptions to stay up to date on what they are changing.

The beta is now the new stable.

There are a lot of settings in the JB4 App. Can anyone post screenshots of their settings? I will be on map 1, 91 octane. Just looking for more responsive daily driving...not chasing 0-60s. Appreciate the help.

i would log and send it to burger or an Ai platform if its just for more responsive throttle. I tried messing w the wastegate on Beta (new stable) 93 Map2, but my boost was going over the safety limit when i pulled hard w the truck. Still messing with it but this is what my settings are rt now.

I just did a 4.40 0-60 with the CAT6 tuner in map 2 & my 6500lb truck in auto mode. I haven't even tried a run in map 3! If I was in sport mode it would've shaved a little more off it with crisper shifts. After the run I bumped the boost by gear in 1st and 2nd a bit -- had them at 45% and 65%. Love this truck and the CAT6! Daaayum!
I wouldn’t trust the performance pages, i ran a 13.33 on dragy stock
and the performance pages said a 12.8

In my opinion it's absolutely stupid that we have to buy a cat 6 and void the warranty just to get 0.1 second less than Ram advertised the 0-60 though lol.

Am I the only one this bothers?

Ram advertised this thing as being "1/10th of a second slower to 60 than a TRX" and that was total bullshit, a complete lie.
When the manufacturers post times they are testing best case scenario with the lightest no options version of the vehicle in good weather and then correcting to sea level. The buyer purchases lets say a fully optioned truck thats 300lbs heavier and in 2400 da and then complains its not as quick as they said it should be.

I've had CAT6 installed now for 4.5K miles -- not a single issue. I've left it in map 2 since forever ago -- and have bumped 1st and 2nd gear boost up to 65, 85 respectively. I've still never even tried map 3, or any of the ludicris modes -- no need, it's really sweet right where it is!

Looks like it’s Beta and anything else moving forwards.

“v12) *** With this firmware HO/RHO platforms need to turn on option6. This will be the 'HO Motor' setting within JB4 going forward ***”
So I need to select option 6 here?
