Now The Gas Gauge Doesn't Work FFS!

According to the tech, the computer is going to fiddle with the DTE for a break in period of 5000 miles until it can figure out your driving habits. I had recently changed from driving primarily in Auto to primarily in Sport. The DTE now starts at 411 on a full tank and jumps all over the place until the next fill up. They said if its still exhibiting the problem after 5000 miles there could be a problem but doesn't appear so. I asked them not to reset anything, so we'll see soon enough.

Auto, sport every now and then but sparingly.

That's where mine used to start, at 450-460. Now starts at 410 after a fill up.

I'm between 504 to 507 after I fill up, and run it sport mode about 98% of the time.
Edit: I also average about 15mpg.

It’s not a fuel fill gage in the true sense. Think of it more as an estimated miles left till empty. If you are driving aggressively or just around town and then go on the highway the mileage listed may actually go up. It’s constantly estimating based on how it’s been driven and adjusting for current driving style.

Drove to California this weekend and the projected tank said I would get 394 miles. Since I was getting 15 - 16 mpg average on the highway I plugged the amount of miles I drove, remaining miles on the tank, and what the starting projection was and Gemini said I would actually get 557 miles from a full tank.

I will definitely be hand logging my mileage on the way home to see how good it is

That's an ambient temp gauge? I thought it was giving me the temp on the surface of the sun.

Haven't had my truck during a winter yet so just curious, does it go the opposite direction in the cold? As in display a colder temp than the actual temp?

Reminds me of Tecate, my 2nd gen Raptor. That shit always showed around 550 on a fill up. My RHO max says 460ish. My TRX never showed over 332 and I miss it every single day.

The phone app and the fuel gauge often give me wildly different numbers. I've got about 2100 miles on the truck and I'm getting 507-520 a fill up on the gauge. The other day I topped up before a drive down to the lake with the kayaks (about 35 miles round trip, with a coffee and cake stop), it started with 517 and when I got back it reads 508. As I'm writing this, I opened the app and it read 508.9, then updated to 515.7... this truck is a Prius.

The wackadoodle gas readings also make me wonder about gas pump accuracy because it was reading 1/2 a tank about a week ago and I stopped off at 'cheaper' gas station for a top off and it took 22 gallons... which is more than it's ever taken while reading near empty.
