Paint Coatings Help

Wait.. surely you have that backwards?
I think I do have it backwards. I likely misunderstood from the detailer. I am not an expert here which is why I asked for the suggestions 🙂. I can also count on you guys to keep me straight.
 
Update - I picked up my truck this morning and am very pleased with the results. Fort Worth Auto Detail was able to clean up most all of the swirl marks and scratches introduced from a dealer detail, through paint correction. As a coating I ended up going with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra ceramic and Gtechniq EXO as a topper. See photos, let me know what you think!

You're gonna love that. Probably the best product/combo on the market. Looks like they did a phenomenal job with the prep too.
