Placing 3rd order.. level 1 worth it? After having it, I feel like I need some convincing.

Well yeah but if the dealer offers me the same discount regardless of trim.. it’s still $10k difference. I’m just thinking for $10k I can get the truck plus a dirt bike, or plus a seadoo spark jetski.. instead all money in one bin. Like would would I get more use or enjoyment out of you know..
If you are asking the question, I think you already know the answer.

I ordered L0, got L1 due to delays. What did I get in L1 that I really use?:

* Speed sign recognition…when it came in our last vehicle, I thought it was the dumbest option ever. After 3 years with it, I wouldn’t want to be without it.

* Surround view camera…it’s a big vehicle…this feature has kept my wife in the passenger seat at least 3x in 1000 miles, rather than outside guiding my parking.

* I loved the CF trim when I picked the truck up from the dealer…now, I rarely notice it, but it’s nice.

The rest is fluff, to me. Worth $10K? Nope. Your mileage may differ.

Hands free driving for me alone is worth it as I’m planning to drive to different cities every weekend
This is my thought but I did see it goes subscription base after like 2-3 years. I think fords is like 80 a month. Not a huge deal but be cooler without have to pay extra each month.

With my wife being a tech nerd she loves the passenger screen and puts on the massaging seats right away. We really wanted the pano as I love the sunlight or opening the roof and ALL the windows on a great day.

So I think it’s worth it as it’s a pretty significant package for 10k but like others said…will you get it back in resale, probably not. But there are always those people like myself that would absolutely spend more on a used vehicle to get what I wanted.

Chris

Not worth it in my opinion, I was looking for the section 8 package considering my current whip is worth less than the lvl 1 package. In all reality, more bells and whistles always leads to more problems, I just need a truck, and this one provided the best value

I went Base/L0 because there was nothing that I really wanted in the L1 upgrades, especially not for $10k. The L0 will also weigh maybe 200-300 lbs less and have a little bit higher payload and towing ratings as a result. Incredible deal for the buck.

360 camera is the most overhyped thing ever. Have it on the raptor and never rely on it, the cameras are always dirty no matter how much you wash them, useless when you need it offroad to see surroundings since the cameras are dirty. the backup camera and sensors on base are more than enough.

Basically to summarize this thread: level 1 is worth it to some if you value the features, you wont get it back in resale value , others, the base is all they need and incredible value, neither is wrong. $10k is alot for massaging and cooled seats etc. so weigh out if $10k is worth the gizmos or go buy a brand new dirtbike. base being the same as level 1 TRX, you really arent missing out.

100% this. The other factor for someone like me, as a business owner, if I use it for more than 50% business use, I get the tax benefits. Food for thought with anybody that might be in the same boat.

I've never bought a lower trim vehicle when debating between two and been happy I did.

I think you'll be happy you did. Just my .02
Agreed. Get the highest trim. Enjoy the tech. Disagree with the dude regarding the cameras, I use the 360 like crazy in combination with my mirrors. Heads up display, hands free, cooling seats…are they necessary no…are they great to use if you have them available to you, hell yes.

L0 means slower and less horsepower
L1 means faster with 1 additional horsepower

The other guy told me that 🥴

Was a simple decision for me 🤣

Base model with a forum discount is a steal. Without a huge discount, I would probably go Level 1. Just mental block I have - if I am paying 80k+ for a vehicle, it better have the bells and whistles. At 61-63k (with a forum discount), for what you get, a base level RHO is hard to beat. Ram has f*ed up my two prior orders, so I am on my 3rd order as well. Hope Ram takes care of you.
What is a forum discount? I was about to purchase a new Raptor 35, but the value of the Base 0 model RHO has got me debating pros and cons now… but all the rebates Im seeing right now online are only totaling $2500. $1000 consumer cash + $1500 bc I own a Chevy

Side note I’m getting a new truck bc my 2019 chevy high country’s 6.2L engine locked up due to oil pump failure w/ only 69k miles on it, but luckily I’m still within my CPO power train warranty by 2 months, thanks goodness I bought CPO. It’s at the dealer waiting on warranty coverage confirmation atm fingers crossed 🤞🏼, I just finished paying it off, I will be so upset if it doesn’t….. it makes me worry the new hurricane power plant isn’t as tried and true as the ford eco boost as well.

I’m new here, Any suggestion or input to help me make a decision is greatly appreciated in advance. ☺️

Hey all, so as most of you know I’ll be placing a 3rd order after my truck engine failed and for the short time I had it I started to doubt that Level 1 is worth $10k.
•passenger screen felt like a gimmick that won’t get used

•massage chairs are alright but most likely will forget they are there unless I go on a road trip

•sound system was just okay, didn’t sound like a upgrade or anything special.

Sounds like the main thing I’ll be missing is a sunroof that I wanted and truck color options.. what am I missing? Surround cameras? Heads up display? Ventilated rear seats? Hands free driving?

Someone please convince me I still need level 1.

My wife loved it but this is my truck and I’m starting to doubt it’s worth it because $10k savings sound nice but I also like nice things. Will resale value hold up better? Or will no one care on the used market that you spent $10k more..obviously not a investment purchase but still I’
or just put a gloss black wrap lol
Yeah Apple car play and HD radio are included in base models too.

Basically I Like the RHO styling and interior quality more, and think it’s a better value than the Raptor especially w/ rebates. but I am worried about longevity, I see him talking in this post about RHO engine problems already

Search the vendors here. Mark Dodge, Koons, and Jim Glover will give you 9-11k off ontop of the conquest and marketing incentives. They have their own threads. Great deals!

I’m rowing the same boat. Ours has been in the shop for 40 days and we’ve retained a lemon law attorney. My wife said we WILL order the exact same truck. You know what they say about a happy wife. There’s nothing else comparable. We’ve had a ZR2, a lightning and a raptor. Our other vehicle is a ‘24 TRX. To us, the RHO tech pushes this truck to the top of the mountain. I think after having it you will miss it when it’s gone. So yes IMO the 10k is worth it. Even though our kid’s first car was a ‘16 Chevy Spark that was 10k OTD!
