Positive owners experiences

I figured since there are so many threads about all the problems and issues these trucks are having, I'd start a thread that will hopefully have some positive owner experiences.

Being the first run, I understand there will be growing pains. I'm hoping the problematic thread trend becomes less frequent as time passes and Ram sorts all the gremlins out and improves their QC. Time will tell.

Until then, let's hear about any less problematic and positive owner experiences.
Coming up on 5 months and 4k miles. Have loved the truck, still learn new things about it regularly.

I've been overlanding, rock crawling, curb hopping, mud running, water fording, snow and ice sliding and lots of baja driving. It's handled every condition like a beast and that makes up for my 11.4MPG avg.

Never seen service center but has been spoiled by regular de-mudding, undercarriage belly rubs, 2 oil changes, cabin filter tomorrow, I'll clean Air Filter after holiday weekend. I do likely need a whole new uconnect system though, as mine is just this side of trash with failing to load, flickering, displaying incorrect information and resetting.

Got the truck end of feb. Level 1 granite crystal. Just broke 7000 miles no issues. Have had multiple over the air updates and the alignment tsb. Love the truck and drive it like i stole it everyday of the week! I feel lucky compared to some on here

How are you able to see the updates? I have it hooked up to my wifi and never see anything regarding updates.

THe last 2 updates popped a notice on the screen as i turned the truck off. Then took about 5 minutes to do and would not let me operate truck when it was updating.

Only got 1,000 miles on mine but it’s been flawless. Absolutely love this thing. I had 3 prior 1500 rebels and 3 out of 3 were excellent and worry free. I wasn’t on any ram forums at the time so maybe ignorance is bliss. But this is my 5th ram in a row and easily the best one yet.

Interesting. So as you pushed the button to shut it off?

It’s early, as I’ve only had my truck for just under 4 weeks and only 600 miles on it, but zero issues. Every time I press the start button I hold my breath that it starts or there’s no CEL, but that’s only due to what I’ve read about other RHO’s. I fully expect at some point my battery will be dead, but hopefully that’s all I experience. I knew buying a 1st year model was risky, but so far nothing but a positive experience.

When I bought my 2019 Ram 1500 Limited (1st year of Gen 5 1500), it was in the shop about 6 times in the first year for a variety of issues, but after the 1st year 0 issues.

It’s definitely a crapshoot, but so far I’ve been one of the lucky ones to not have any issues.

Picked up Jan 1. Beginning of Feb had to replace batteries after sitting for 2 weeks. No mechanical issues since. One minor cosmetic flaw with steering wheel, but loving everything about it.

4 months, 2K mile, minor issue. Drivers unlock button would stick down at delivery, (worked) replaced part, no issues.
Sometimes App doesn’t record a trip but all tech has been working in truck-level 1
I don’t consider these issues but not 100% perfect. 99.99% good-also kills 99.9% of germs that cause the flu.😉

I’ve had mine for 2wks and just turned over 1,000mi, which is about average pace for me. So far a couple of small quirks but nothing significant to report. This truck is absolutely my favorite vehicle to date… and by a long shot!

I took delivery Dec 5, just turned 4000 miles yesterday. I’ve been lucky so far. No major issues. A couple of small ones: ABS/ forward collision warning/ blind spot sensors warning popped up at about 475 miles. Disappeared a few days later. Hasn’t reoccurred. Then twice in a two week period, at about the 2200 mile mark, I got a CEL. Both times there was no drivability or performance issue. Both times I checked the code with scanner, no code was detected so I cleared CEL. Hasn’t happened again in over 1700 miles.

No paint issues.

Batteries seem strong, always in the 14.1-14.5 range when driving.

Mileage could be better, I’m averaging 13.1 now with 75% highway/25% city, but oh well.

I smile every time I drive it!

So far I love this truck!

You guys are giving me hope! Very glad that everyone here, minus 1...lol, is getting to enjoy their trucks as intended.

I'm just waiting for the new colors to be available and I'm going to place an order. My 21 limited eco diesel has been a terrific, solid, trouble free vehicle for 60k miles. It's tough to let it go, but I'm excited for the next adventure.

I almost pulled the trigger on a F250 Platinum Tremor about 2 months ago, then by dumb luck saw an RHO on local dealers lot. Stopped in to look at it. Salesman offered a test drive, figured why not but expected it to be similar to my 19 Raptor. Boy was I wrong, So much better. I immediately knew I had to have one.

Mine was delivered March 3rd and have had zero problems. Sitting at 2,200 miles. Remote start is a lifesaver here in south Florida!

Got min in Jan - 2500 trouble free miles .... Snow, Mud, Hills, Dirt and all. Like others - noted the 2 OTA updates (both stated "your SGW has been updated". Occasionally get the "Uconnect Box Error - See Dealer" ... but i hit "ok" on the screen and everything is still working .... dealer going to look at it in a few weeks. Happy every day (and feel for those who have/had issues)

I did have an issue with mine but since I got it back I am having a blast. Truck is so fun to drive.

10,300 miles. Had dead batteries on day 2 of ownership, replaced them myself with duralast. Haven't had any power issues since. My seat heater crapped out, but was replaced quickly under warranty. Other than that, I love everything about the truck.
Not to hijack, as I am at 1K ear to ear grin miles :) But do you have model numbers for these 2 batteries available by chance?

2,000 miles in and zero issues. Love this truck, can’t wait for the rain to finally break in NY so I can coat it.
