The idea of card is you can leave all your electronics in the car and go to the beech swimming with your card and still unlocked your truck.. key fobs arnt waterproof.
Which would be useful if I lived near a beach, which I do not 🤣

Me neither but I like to think I could live by a beach thanks to this great card feature šŸ˜‚

I like the way you think!

Looks like RAM digital key is only available for iPhone users. On the website there is no mention of android users when it comes to digital key. I am an android user, and might have to switch to iPhone lol. I can't say that I don't care for this feature, but it's not the baggiest deal.

"Leave keys and key fobs behind—simply add an available digital key to a compatible iPhoneĀ® or Apple WatchĀ® to access and start your truck without removing the smartphone from your pocket. Digital keys can be shared with other compatible AppleĀ® devices, while the owner retains full control over access."
When will it be active?

They are if you pop the key out of the fob. Just sayin lol

I'm a diver myself and while I do not live by a beach (concrete jungle of DFW here) I do find myself hiding my keys, etc. when going on a dive. Having the ability to get in my truck via my Apple watch or the card is a useful feature. Maybe not one of the more important ones but one of those small little details that just makes ownership that much better

And while keyfobs aren't waterproof....I did have an experience a few years back with my 2016 Laramie where I dropped my key in about 8 ft of water and didn't find it until about half an hour or so later when I finally dove under the dock I was standing on when it fell through the slats.

Can I see a picture of what the digital key card looks like. I did not get one with my truck so MD is having to order me a replacement. Thanks

Thanks - it's pretty annoying that it did not come in the car when it was delivered.

I had a Tesla before that came with key card but because it had that software I was able to program key rings, bracelets and anything else that had that programmable chip. Pretty sure this truck will be the same thing. And those rings and other stuff weren’t from Tesla, just 3rd party accessories. Worked flawless.

Picked up my RHO last night and don’t see this key card anywhere. Is this supposed to come standard with all new RHOs?

Mine was hidden in all the "stuff' in the glove box. It was easy to overlook. In a sealed section of a larger bag of Ram vehicle paperwork. Hopefully the vehicle prep people didn't overlook and toss it.

Others here said theirs was in the grand canyon center console.

Thanks. It’s no where to be found. Before I call the dealer, I guess I’m wondering if it’s ā€œstandardā€.
