Got mine installed yesterday…my thoughts, in a word: AWESOME!

Why?:

- Obviously, they make getting in & out of the lifted truck much, much easier. I’m 6’ 2” & still needed them.

- They are stout. My 260lb frame makes them sag not a bit!

- They nearly disappear when stowed, yet still add some visual “robustness” to the rocker area.

- You can lock them up or down from the center screen. Handy when parking to avoid door dings & might come in handy during certain off-roading situations when you don’t want the boards dropping down.

The service advisor said they are “Ram branded” Amp power steps. They look & install exactly like the non-Ram branded Amp steps (well, except the molded RAM logo). You could save some $$ & go Amp (lower MSRP & you can install yourself once they release the RHO compatible wiring harness), but you won’t have the Ram integrated control or 3/36 warranty.

Did the install go smoothly? Well, dealer included them in my purchase price & they were ordered the same day using my RHO VIN. But, what they received were not compatible with the RHO wiring (they were TRX boards, even though ordered using an RHO VIN). Luckily, they figured out the correct part# & found a set at another dealer, so they sent a runner to get them. The only difference between TRX & RHO?: the connector at the power step motor is identical, but what gets snaked into the truck is all new.

I’ll post pictures later, along with what I was told is the correct part#.

Update: Correct part#82219228AA, per my invoice. Hopefully those are not the TRX boards, but a quick Google says they are for 2025 Ram, no earlier years listed.

Definitely want to see the pics of these as I am planning to purchase also.

Does the picture not load for everyone else also? /s

A couple photos…

BTW, my 5’ 12” wife absolutely adores the power steps. She’s 100% happier getting into & out of my truck!

thanks for the detail - had no idea there was a "menu option" once installed - as I read the install guide, I did see a reference to "adding sales code in dealerconnect" .. assuming something related to unlocking the menu options once installed.

I tried to help people with that PN like a month ago. My TRX had AMP steps and I absolutely hated the fact they plugged into the OBD port. It was a nightmare everytime it was in for service.

@RHOfan, do you know what the incorrect part number was? The part you listed is not the same one @AnthonyRI

Is this part # still accurate? I been battling for over two months trying to order them and they told me it won’t work because of the wiring harness. And this is the part number they told me will not work part#82219228AA

My dealership told me not to put these on because of the wiring harness and wait for the version for the RHO.

Did they have any problems putting them on? Mopar still says these are not for the RHO. Are they working as they should? Waiting for my truck to ship to me but really want the boards put on by the dealership.

Not at all. Its made for the RHO and they work like a charm.

I bought mine prior to taking delivery and my dealer in Houston installed them.

They are awesome

Thanks for these photos... kinda wish they were wider but I think I'll still get these for the integration with the screen and the warranty.
