I’m surprised nobody commented on the 94 octane. That’s pretty rare. Can’t remember if that’s safe to run or not. I think I read something about flex fuel in the hurricane motor.
This is a 3.0 Litre High Performance Engine, twin turbo, therefore you need a slower burning fuel if you want it to operate within the effective design window and eliminating any engine Knock/Ping...The only time that I would use 87 octane fuel would be in an absolute emergency...like happened to me many years ago whereby 91/93 octane fuels was not readily available in certain areas of North Carolina...
Riding a high revving fuel injected bike with wrong octane fuel shows up more so than with lower revving cars/trucks. My experience riding my Ninja ZX12r with 87 octane fuel was horrible...Pinging when riding around town, especially with the stop and go traffic...Open road not so noticeable except lower mileage...went from ~36mpg down to ~30...Improper combustion will ultimately cause component deterioration. Stick with the fuel requirements.
Currently, I buy Costco's 93 @ $3.40 per gal...In general Ohio's pretty good with fuel prices
