RHO specific k&n intake now available

K&N is blowing smoke if they think their smaller filter will make 30hp over stock. I went the aluminum pipe route but wanted to make sure all the factory mounting locations were utilized. Took a couple hours of design and fitment but I think my intake came out pretty nice. I’ll probably sand out the grinding marks and cerakote it black if I don’t have any issues after a couple weeks. As for the sound, the turbo noise is substantially more noticeable over 2500-3000 rpm. Anything under that and it sounds completely stock.

Looks good, didja get 25 hp out of it ?? If K&N = 30 Yours should be at least 25 !! :)

I mean, I understand the hate. The internet hates CAIs. I get it. But I’m interested.

Wow:oops: you got an extra 20 !! You must have gotten the lucky filter :ROFLMAO:

The airbox does indeed seal with the hood as it should. It is not flimsy like some have reported from the previous K&N that was not specific to the RHO. The airbox does look a little bigger and was a little bit of a pain to get lined up correctly. I do hear a little bit more turbo and air getting sucked into the intake versus stock. The truck does feel a little more responsive but that may just be me. I’m happy with for sure but I don’t have anything to compare to besides the stock intake.

Hoping someone with access to a dyno can verify the numbers.
