New company direction after inline-6 tanked earnings. They’re all in on the V8 marketing at this point, and it’s pretty clear they’re quietly leaving the Hurricane behind.

I hope this isnt true since they are rumoured to be debuting a 1000 HP charger that is supposedly a Hurricane. They will bring the v8s back but I'm not sure they have given up on the Hurricane.

People seem to keep having limp mode issues more and more with the Cat6 and JB4.

Very possibly part of the reason why Mopar Direct Connection has taken so long to release the tuner. Working through the bugs that are causing the truck to go into limp mode maybe

No issues with my cat6...can't wait to see this super bee Friday and the hp number. Has to be above 700.

What people and where is it being tied to? I’m at 13k miles and more than a year with a DS with ZERO issues. I tow the boat with it on level 2 and level 3 the rest of the time.

Don’t have the threads handy but I’ve seen a few people who have had it awhile and all of a sudden limp mode. Not proven it was the tuner but I’ve seen at least a couple that had tuners going into limp. I dunno maybe I’m just crazy let me look for the threads.

On the serious note though…. Yeah I’ll be pretty pissed if they just leave the RHO in the lurch. It would be a great big F U to all of us and proof that Tim K is full of shit when he says he believes in this engine.

I’ve got another go-fast “toy” in process but…I did specifically buy the RHO for the performance……it’d be a real shame if Stellantis gave it the cold shoulder before it ever even got started

I dunno I still don't think they will drop it. If they show up at roadkill nights with a charger or something else that has the hurricane and it it putting out major numbers I'll still have faith

The Hurricane motor is here to stay. It’s a world market motor. The V8’s are a much smaller market. They are creating an unfortunate distraction in the US market.
As far as road kill nights goes FCA gave 5 cars out to shops all hurricane powered .

I was way off, it looks like the DC upgrade will be only $11k over the MSRP, which now makes the whole pricing structure pretty interesting

I agree. I think if it was a matter of it not happening the entire thing would be removed from the flow chart. Where is that flow chat from? Insider Info or public info?

I cant believe if it's 10k that it's just a tuner. And if they do come out with a tuner I don't see it being any better than the 2 on the market. The only benefit is protecting your warranty. I'd guess if it's ordered as a DC its gonna be magnaflow exhaust, tuner, intake, and cool stickers

I went ahead and grabbed the cat6, cause after a quick look around here and FB the DC upgrades have been rumored forever with nothing but the exhaust coming out.

The two current tuners are easy enough to put on and off between visits, but honestly I doubt I even remove mine for the next oil change.
