I went ahead and grabbed the cat6, cause after a quick look around here and FB the DC upgrades have been rumored forever with nothing but the exhaust coming out.

The two current tuners are easy enough to put on and off between visits, but honestly I doubt I even remove mine for the next oil change.

I don’t remove mine anymore.

I'm hoping it's an actual tune, not just a piggyback like the cat6 or JB4. Isn't this what ford did with the raptor, or what that a piggyback as well?
I seem to remember seeing reports of people saying it changed the transmission shifting logic, which makes me think it was an actual ECU/TCU file.

I wouldn't imagine. I believe the Ford tune is $850.

The 11k DC rumblebee kits are a superchargers.

Reading all this just makes me more anxious to get my Cat6 installed. It's been sitting in my garage since I scored it from Summit waaaay back in April on an obscene price-match LOL! Got it for less than $500! I just need it to be LESS than 115 degrees in my garage before I'm going to feel like crawling around under the hood.

Yeah ford is an actual tune

I never knew this existed until about 2 weeks ago. Pretty impressive of Ford to do this. MOPAR Connection has a path to follow.

It says unleashes the hp to 455. I thought the Raptor was 450hp stock? Does it just get there quicker?

Nope Bronco Raptor is 418 stock. I own one.
That tune is for the 3 L which the bronco raptor has. The F150 has a 3.5 L. Different motor. They offer a tune for that also but it’s 466 hp.

I misunderstood the post. I thought we were talking about F150 Raptor kit.

I had this on my 22 raptor . It really changed the way the 10spd shifted . Not really any noticeable hp gains . Also got it for much cheaper 450 ish if i remember corr6

Surprisingly enough, I offered to do the tune on the raptor several times and my wife said no. She likes it the way it is. And my wife is the one with a leadfoot.
I am curious about how it changed the shifts. I don’t like the sport mode in the RHO because it holds the gear longer. Yeah, I get that is what you want when driving in sport mode but I wouldn’t want it permanently all the time?

My gen 2 shifted like shit in all modes. I Goosetuned it, including the trans, and it was night and day in how smooth the trans shifted.

The one I bought for my wife drives pretty good so I might just leave it alone. Saves me $850. Dropping the bucket compared to the 90+ thousand I spent getting it for her. The only thing I don’t like is the exhaust. It’s got four annoying modes all with drone.
