Rumored Mopar Tuner

I don’t think it’s gonna see the additional pressure. The piggyback module interrupts the signal and lies to the ECU..

I keep hearing this but have seen 0 hard evidence of this. BMW (amongst others), for example, has literally been catching these things for ages. I don't see how Ram would be any different

I've personally heard from BMW technitions that this is exactly how it works. The data logs are pulled whenever there is a significant warranty claim. Dealerships will have to submit data logs to get claims from BMW approved. They 100% can tell that something aftermarket was previously on the vehicle that was altering boost pressure .... and anything else really.

And like you said - when Stellantis denies your claim, it would be legal for them to do so.

This exact thing happened to me in my Subaru STI, which has an ECU from like 760 BC. Can only imagine how good the modern ones are.

People online have been putting way too much faith in the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act since around the same year.

It's all fun and games until it happens to you. Some people can afford the hit like it's no big deal and that's awesome. It'd be a big deal to me. So I choose the safest route. I'm not anti-aftermarket tuner or anything. Trust me if I had the disposable cash, I'd have this thing running 950hp with all kinds of wild shit blowing up engines left and right 😂

I watch a lot of crime shows and I was surprised what they are able to get out of the car computers. One example was a 2008! Ford 250 where they were able to get not just where it drove, stopped, was idling etc, but also which door opened when and so .. and they could get that info months back.. on such an old thing.. you can just imagine what the new car computers store

This is why I commit all my murders using a 1991 Honda Civic.

You do know "TV" shows make shit up too don't you? That same TV can show you that same 2008 F250 doing 60 mph in reverse around corners with the driver blind folded. Lol.

I'm guessing he's talking about a true crime TV show?

Can you elaborate what seat massaging issue you’re having? I’ve had an entire new seat base ordered up and installed, and now a second one on order. I’m curious if your issue is similar.
Because it keeps activating the same spot even with new hardware, I'm assuming it's software related...or whatever module controls those functions. That's the only answer at this point no? I mean who gets 2 faulty seat bottoms??

But he only drives it when he has a job to do. That's why it’s still around.
His skills must not be that good…the car just sits there 🤣

It doesn't really "have to be proven" at all. They will simply deny the warranty claim.

You can't just say "but you have to prove it!" and they go "oh you're right, sorry sir, forget we said anything- we will replace your engine right away"

If you wanna lawyer up and take them to court, sure. Then and only then they will have to prove it. Good luck going against Stellantis lawyers. Won't cost them a dime, and it will cost you more than the engine would to replace.

Not trying to be a dick or anything, but that's exactly how it would go.
You’re not wrong. I have a lot of warranty admin experience and I’m not saying this won’t happen, but it would be surprising. Having a good relationship with the dealer goes a long way.

Curious without starting a big argument, has anyone had direct experience getting a denial on a warranty claim for the RHO or Rebel because of aftermarket parts or tunners?

I don't know about you, but no one on this forum is running any sort of shenanigans of which you speak.

We are law and warranty abiding group that encourages others to do the same.

So, where is this fackin' tuner!?? 🙄🤔🧐
I'm calling BS.

As the self-appointed, unelected leader of this whole Mopar tuner thing- I'm very upset because I'm busy all week at work. I should be in my office refreshing the website like usual. I'm going to be pissed if I'm not around when the news breaks. I should have taken my vacation this week 🤣.

If they were to sell out? Forget about it. I'll be on the warpath.
