Safety Recall

Yeah I just got the email about this recall today. Going to avoid this "fix" like the plague for the time being. It's clear Ram is currently having some major issues with their software development team.
💯

But don’t worry. Ram is ready to shock the truck world on 1-1-26!

Glad to hear I could save at least one truck life with this service announcement!

I wonder what really causes these intermittent issues with some of us after software updates. We all get the same update, yet we all don’t have the same issues.

I think maybe it comes down to when the dealer loads the software. Did they hook the truck up to a power supply? Are the truck batteries at a good state of charge? Is the shop computer using WiFi or hard wired.

I have to assume some updates get corrupted at the dealer, not the update itself causing the issue maybe. 🤷🏻‍♂️

got the safty recall, had it done, dealership took over 4 hours to complete the software update, ridiculous. Ironically, I didn't have screen blackout before, but the second day after the fix, my RHO experiened a brief blackout after startup.

My advice: if you didn't experience this issue before, don't even consider fixing it. Like the old saying, If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Same exact situation as me. Safety in numbers… let’s keep each other updated on progress and hopefully we can get a real solution here.

That's what I think, the techs are skipping steps and fouling the update...kinda like 'not using the learn function'.

Just wanna throw in a little positivity here. Had the truck just over a year now ( picked it up December last year). Absolutely zero issues but I'm only at about 7700 miles right now. Did a recall and software update last month about 600 miles ago and still zero issues.

Originally was also thinking not taking it in since I had no issues.

Great to hear!
No real issues either, very happy with the truck...7 months 18k miles.
