Even though no one wanted to hear it, I mentioned this in another thread as a major concern for the future of the RHO. It's pretty apparent the standard output Hurricane isn't going anywhere- but if they release this alleged TRX at a fair price, and the sales blow the RHO out of the water, I'd imagine Ram has little to no incentive to continue making the RHO.
To be completely honest, I love my RHO, but theres no way in hell I'd have bought it over the TRX had they both been available at the time I purchased. I'd imagine this is a sentiment a lot of us share? It's already been driving me nuts that they they're going to release a TRX again. If it's in the cards for me financially, I'm 100% going to pull the trigger on one. I genuinely can't help it. That's the truck I've always wanted from day 1, but back in 2022 when they came out I simply didn't have the buying power to even consider one, but now I do.
People will say "well Ford keeps both the ecoboost & R Raptors in the lineup". Yeah, well Ford also sells a gazillion ecoboost Raptors.
Ram was completely content not having the RHO exist when they had the TRX in the lineup. Well, now they're going to have a TRX in the lineup again. The RHO was strictly their answer to the TRX going bye bye and now the TRX isn't bye bye anymore.
If the new TRX is 100k+ then everything I just said is completely irrelevant. If it comes in at 85k like some people are thinking, then I think there's trouble ahead. Suppose we will see.
What will really suck is if the RHO does get discontinued, its value on the resale market could tank completely. Which makes me even more nervous and makes me consider getting rid of it before that would potentially happen.
This is all just speculation, since they offer the High Output in the Tungsten as well, and there's no way in hell they'd put the 6.2 in the Tungsten. So if they do keep the H.O. around, then they'll probably keep the RHO around.
