I recently completed service on my RHO at the dealership and it seems that a grey silicone was used when reinstalling the oil drain plug. I wanted to ask if this is something that is common as i have been reviewing online and do not find this anywhere. Recently just hit 15k, and an aftermarket oil filter was also used for this service.
This was one day after i had to go back to the dealership after they had completed the service and a puddle of oil was found on my driveway. They stated that it was due to a faulty oil filter. This doesn’t sound right?
I am assuming they may have damaged the threads on the oil pan. Anyone deal with this before? Any help is appreciated.
