I had the same issue in Nor Cal. A GM actually laughed at me and said there is no way. I called Mark Dodge and ordered mine. The vehicle is 50 state legal, so you can buy it and bring it back.

Great news! Canyon lake color (PJ7) is now available to order on the 26 RHO! For those of us that do remember it, its the same color code as the 93-98 ZJ Grand Cherokee color called Chargold II satin glow. Its quite nice. If you google Chargold there are a lot of pics of it. I also have deals on the other trims and as well as the heavy duty trucks, average savings off the trucks are about 8-12k off sticker plus tax, license and 85 doc fee.

Its something different then the Mojave sand color and back int he day it was insanely popular. I think with the lines of the truck and the black trim, it should look pretty classy.

You're still on the hook for the same taxes even if you buy outside of California. I got my RHO through Rob here in CA...no regrets. Once I factored in the extra delivery cost from MD, the price difference ended up being just a few hundred bucks. The biggest reason I went local was so I could actually check out the truck in person and make sure there weren’t any issues or small damages. But hey, to each their own.

Like I said, this will be my third out of state truck. I've paid the taxes, smog checks, and a weight certification on my F350. It's not a big deal.
If I would have seen this post before I made my order I may have bought local since I'm 25 miles away from Tustin. I did the math and buying local would have cost about $500 -$600 more after shipping.

Would love to have had your business here as well as you see when shipping is factored in its basically a wash between here and most out of state places. Again as long as you have your paperwork in a row its not touch to register an out of state car here in California. Just to let everyone else know I am still doing 26's at 3 percent under invoice plus tax and license with affiliates rewards like treadlightly etc. any additional rebates that are available on the 26's when the car gets here will be extra discounts. message me for a quote.. it still is simpler to buy closer to home if you live in Cali at least through me.
