So, I have a thought as someone who is waiting to order (need to see the Serrano Green in person before pulling the trigger because it would be my first choice unless it's straight up ugly). This isn't directed at Wrinkled Dounut, but rather everyone in this community. There are always going to be issues with vehicles...especially with all of the electronics in them now. If you're going to own the RHO for more than 3 years...why wouldn't everyone's first mod be an extended warranty from Granger? Yeah, I know it doesn't help what ram hasn't fixed from year 1 to now. However, considering the prices for the mods I've seen on this forum...the extended warranty is peanuts by comparison.

I woke up to a dead truck a while back, was able to jump it with a battery pack. Took it to the dealer and after some diagnostics they found an icon tracker that was constantly on (parasitic drain). Im assuming these are dealer installed to report/track car for people who dont pay, but my battery voltage has been in a more consistent range since it was disconnected and no other issues since. I know it is paid for and involved in the paperwork when purchasing the truck. Something to possiblely look into?

Batteries have been an Issue for FCA/Stellantis for years..was the number one tow in when i was a tech.

The Small stop start battery can somehow cause the most insane problems and no starts as well.

First “mod” was to buy a 4000A Jump starter Black Friday Amazon Special. When I picked up the truck, it was placed under the backseat and hopefully it will remain hidden.

I remember back in the early 90’s when one of my brothers Chevy truck 350 threw a rod. The gang gathered at his house one weekend. After a trip to the Salvage yard, we hoisted out the bad SB and replaced it with a not so bad SB. Alcohol was the payment. With today’s vehicles posing as computers, that is not happening, no matter how much booze is offered. For me, keep it just under 3 years and move on to the next one.

RAM Service cannot recreate the no power issue.

They've got four pages of module errors based on the dead truck from Thursday morning, but the truck is absolutely fine since then.

Tech asked to keep it until Monday to walk through a few more things.

I'm fine with it...

Truck has now been in service for electrical gremlins for over 30 days within one calendar year... That checks a Lemon Law milestone, should it become an issue...

The truck is home.

They had to do a PCM update. Not sure if it was the same one as posted here, but it sounds the same. (Interior lights coming on when they shouldn't )

RAM Road Service couldn't get it started.

Especially after 36,000mi...these trips to the dealership aren't going to be free anymore- they're going to come right out of our pockets.

That obviously goes for any of these electrical gremlin issues. It's not that big of a deal when it's all free, but it's going to absolutely suck after the warranty ends. Basically 100% of us are still under warranty, soI think a lot of people aren't considering this part when they talk about these nuisance issues not being a huge deal. It will be a huge deal very quickly when we gotta start spending $2,300 to get our digital clusters working again.

Radio silence from Ram per usual. Have they even publicly acknowledged this issue exists?

It's not like these trucks came out 3 months ago anymore. It's been well over a year, and no long-term fix in sight.

So don't hold manufacturers accountable, and everyone should just spend an extra $3,000 to make sure our trucks work after 36k miles? Is that really what the consumer mindset has come to? Stockholm syndrome.

To each their own I suppose, I guess I'm just old-fashioned.
