What did you do to your RHO Today?

2 bucket method w ph balanced auto soap
leaf blower to dry (ceramic coat) pick up any beads left with a good soft detail towel
20-30 minutes tops

About once a week i go to the local washing bay, the usual soap rinse dry with micro fiber. During winter its every few weeks here in MT.

Then about once a month or after a trip i will do a 2 bucket wash at home, dry with air and micro fiber takes about an hour or 2 then move into a full interior detail. maybe 2-3 hours in total. very relaxing.

I got a good laugh reading through all the posts of the guys anal about the interior because i am one of them :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Wife knows better than to eat in the truck or make a mess and our puppies ride in a crate with the back seats folded up. My goal is to keep the interior the same as the day i got it, very satisfying.

Got a careless driving ticket on my way into work this morning.

Cop was definitely a Raptor owner 😂

ticket.webp

@Wrinkled_Donut

What did he consider "careless driving"?

Nothing dude, total BS. I was driving down the sidewalk in a school zone while texting. I really don't see what the big fucking deal is?

Lol, nah. I was going 44 in a 25. I know it sounds bad, but if you saw the street you'd understand that's a perfectly reasonable speed. It's just one of those speed-trap areas that I wasn't familiar with. In NJ careless driving isn't a big deal even though it sounds like it, it covers speeding and some other crap. "Reckless driving" is the big bad one that some people confuse it with.

I haven't gotten a ticket in like 17 years so I guess I was due 🤷‍♂️

Ah ok.

I got what Louisiana calls a "reckless AND careless operation" ticket one time around 2am coming home from a night out. I was doing 95 in a 55. State Trooper lights me up and I immediately pull over. He asked me what my hurry was and I told him I was trying to get home before I shit myself because I had the bubble guts (I didn't really, but that was the quickest thing my mind could come up with that I thought gave me a legitimate shot at getting out of it). He just looked at me and said "ok, I'll try to write the ticket fast then." :ROFLMAO: That one was a mandatory court appearance - cost me around $500. I was young and dumb then....still dumb, just older now!

Last summer, I got pulled over at 5:30 in the morning on the way to work. The cop asked me why I was driving so fast. I just said, "It's a fast...truck?" He said, "WHAT?", and I said nevermind. I guess he felt sorry for me because he only wrote me up for 78 in a 55 (below the threshold for reckless driving), even though he caught me around 85.
As soon as he was done and got back in his car, I blurted out "you should have seen me hitting the speed limiter a mile back". I said it very quietly, though, lol

Installed the Bulletpoint mounting solutions phone mount. Highly recommend it. Packaging and quality are top notch. Totally worth the money.

Now I can map while I map.

just being curious why still using a phone nav when we have CarPlay/Android Auto for Nav, and also Car's own nav system? What's the advantage? High line sight for eyes?

Yeah pretty much. I'm 6'5 so my head is up high and the phone is in better line with my eyes. The bullet point sits at a perfect height.

Meh, the bulletpoint stuff looks junky...😐
Really? I didn't think so at all dude. It's all very high quality. The packaging and instructions are top notch (comes with all install tools as well). I'm like 99% sure it's made in the USA. It's one of the highest quality phone mounts I've ever used. It's expensive, but worth every penny.

I'm very picky too, I can't stand cheap shit and this passed my test with flying colors.

The ONLY downside is it vibrates a bit, but that's not really "the mounts" fault. The mount is solid as a rock, the whole dash just vibrates.

Totally respect your choice...I just feel like they look fine in something like a Jeep Wrangler, they just don't fit the interior of the RHO for me. Oh and the vibration would drive me batshit.

Yeah they're definitely more jeep-esque. I think that's what the brand really is known for, or got their start. I like it for the height that it sits at mostly.

I will say the vibration did drive me batshit as well at first, but surprisingly I got used to it. It hold's the phone TIGHT too, so I usually just leave my work phone in there on maps or just with the screen off.

If you use your phone while you drive alot (like I do) it'd be a huge pain in the ass to constantly remove & reinsert it while driving. I keep my personal phone right in the cupholder.

You ain't lyin'...when I have to grab the phone from the charging pad and use it quick, it's such a pain in the ass to get back in there just right to start the charging again. I guess that's my one interior gripe, just 1 or 2 flat charging pads I could toss my phone on would have been great. The ZR2 was so easy, just throw it on the pad and it would start charging right up. 😢
