With premium gas potentially hitting $8+/gallon by Summer, is anyone regretting buying a 14 mpg pseudo Baja truck? No politics, please!

$4.99/gallon and the gas light was on. Dang woman didn’t pump gas and just made it home when the light turned on. I don’t like letting it get to E ever, you know debris bottom of the tank clogs stuff up wives-tale our dads told us.
Yeah it blows but at least you don't measure it by gallons per mile like this bitch...50 gallons of premium is gone in a few days on the water lol

I guess what they say is true.

What are the 2 happiest days of boat ownership? The day you buy it and the day you sell it!

Ok…Exxon exec sounding an alarm today. US strategic reserve has been tapped (not empty, but historically low). World oil inventories dwindling. If SoH doesn’t open very soon, gas prices will spike by end of June, early July at the latest.

So, $8/gallon by 1st day of Summer could happen. Hope not. Already high prices on just about everything will continue to push higher. My wife paid $8 for two tomatoes at Sprouts market last weekend! What’s next?

guess she’s gonna have to start going to Walmart for tomatoes, lol
In fairness, Sprouts charged $7.50 for two tomatoes before the Iran situation
One thing is for sure, tomatoes are cheap n easy to grow!! :) Taste better too

Ohh man can't wait for mine. Can't even come close to farmers market. I usually do two back to back plants. I guess one plus from California 🤣

I used to eat tomato & mayo sandwiches with the beefsteaks grown by my father-in-law. MA grown. NJ grown were darn good, too.

Soil in my current state is not conducive. Nor was it in FL. Too much sand. Tomatoes had zero flavor.

Back to expensive gas, please….

I guess that would make it back to rho also

And here I am deciding 27 rho or back to power wagon 🤣
Are both built at SHAP?

My Jeep, a ‘26 model, has been problem-free, but not built at SHAP.

Upon delivery, I noticed a bunch of wax marker checks on all the electrical components under the hood. Thinking that factory has some added QC that might benefit Ram at SHAP.

Ahhhh NJ tomatoes….nothing like them!! The best!! Gotta be all the toxins in the soils 😂. They are the best!

funny you say that. My go-to thing with fresh-baked sourdough (while it’s still slightly warm) is a thick slice with Duke’s mayo, fresh garden tomatoes, and cracked black pepper.
We’ve got like 10 tomato plants starting to flower right now. Not sure what we’re going to do with all of them in a month or two.

My mom used to make those from time to time…loved em. Often on toast. Figured it was because we were poor a few times in our life growing up 🤣…just like tuna ala king and hamburger helper

I’m old enough to remember the 1st oil crisis in US history. 1973. The former OPEC turned off the faucet. Gas went from $.25/gallon to $.85/gallon in short order. Yes, it came back down after some oil price negotiation & the faucet re-opened. But the days of $.25/gallon gas were mostly gone.

Fast forward to 2026, and we could theoretically see $8+/gallon premium by Summer. I believe some areas of CA are already seeing it.

I wonder if that will hinder TRX sales once the order books open?

NO POLITICS, PLEASE!!!

Well my wife got 15mpg driving from Texas to Illinois yesterday. Going between 75-80mph.

Not bad.
