Always wanted to meet a Civil War hero. When gas went above $1/gallon (yes, I’m old enough to remember, but not THAT old), many gas stations didn’t have the right advertising boards.
What did they do? They began advertising the cost for 1/2 gallon!
Beware…when premium hits $10+/gallon….if you see $5, make sure it’s a whole gallon!
AnotherYeah. She asked why I bought a 90k truck and I remind her of her quote that inspired me on the RHO journey. I could have been in a 50k EV with a $50/month electric bill, and probably in a forum with a bunch of dudes from California. I like it here much better. As I filled up my tank for $125 today.
Such a macho, devil-may-care response. Just proves the question hit home. If you need that kind of “logic” to justify your purchase…One time back in the late 1980'3 I asked a friend who just brought a corvette what the gas milage was. He said, "if you are worried about gas millage you don't deserve to drive it."
Ah man, can you get them in Serrano Green?
Corvettes actually get great gas mileage lol. I've owned one since the 1990s and all have gotten great mpg. If your friend was getting 2mpg, he would have had a different response. One time back in the late 1980'3 I asked a friend who just brought a corvette what the gas milage was. I usually do as well, but the missus ran it dry lol.I fill up at half tank so it doesnt hurt as bad lol.
