1st oil change

blown away that it cost $160 for a basic oil change.

my local dealer has a deal where you can prebuy packs of 3 oil changes; the 3 packs are significantly less

For example, on my ecoDiesel a single oil change was $260 but a diesel pre-paid 3 pack is $310 after tax; so, $103 per oil change and the ecoDiesel oil/filter would run me $85 on their own.

Not sure what the RHO cost will be.

I still do all of my own oil changes. Thanks everyone for reminding me why…

That said, I did make a bit of a mess on my 1st oil change. There’s a lot of oil sitting above the filter, which gets pretty messy when unscrewed. I’ll have to find a solution for that before my next change.

Edit: just found this on Amazon and it was exactly what I was envisioning. Might give this a shot and connect a hose to the end of it.

someone here got it for $140. Of course will be different dealer to dealer. Have to go to change mine soon and will ask around

Has anyone done their 1st oil change? No place around me carries OW-40 full synthetic and they admit they have never changed the oil in a RHO. Trying to avoid going to the dealership. Curious if anyone has had trouble finding a spot or is it just me?

I am taking mine to the dealer as well. My dealer is offering a 125 dollar oil change and I too want to keep dealer docs for the extended warranty.
