Hold on, if a SRT Grand Cherokee returns, even if the wait is a year, I too would pass on my rho.. I was already looking at the x5m60 if this ends up taking longer than I anticipated.. A Grand Cherokee SRT would be fantastic!
@Eighty Has it been established that the large volume dealers seem to get their orders put through and completed at a more efficient rate? Versus much smaller dealerships that maybe only order a handful of RHOs a year.
And I would imagine for logistics, it would be a lot more efficient for a car hauler to pick up an entire trailer load and take the ordered trucks to Mark Dodge, for example.
In other words, do the low volume dealership orders seem to fall through the cracks more often ?

I have no hard data to say either way (the dealership name doesn't show up on the build sheet or window sticker). There is anecdotal data to suggest that low-volume dealerships have a harder time with timely builds, but it could just be due to the low sample size. The one thing I'm pretty confident on - after the truck is built, the stack-up waiting for a window sticker is evenly distributed (i.e., there's no favoritism there).
The car hauler thing doesn't really apply to the factory - almost all vehicles go out by rail, except for ones going to dealerships nearby.
Just curious, once all the trucks are on the rail, do they all go to different regional staging areas to wait for a car hauler? Or do all trucks just go to one main staging area to wait to get shipped around the US ?
Wow, crazy it could sit at the rail yard for 3 weeks waiting to be delivered. My pizza tracker hasn't updated yet since WS.Eighty told me I got a WS 2/7, pizza tracker updated next day to vehicle built. Never updated to shipped.
Asked the dealership and they said it’s at the final railyard as of yesterday. They said typically from there to their lot is 7-21 days. Perfect timing as I’m on my way to the bank to sell my TRX.

Yeah mine still hasn’t switched to “shipped” but it clearly did. Hopefully I get a call next week to take a road trip!
For trucks shipping by rail, they go to a massive rail yard (in New Boston). From there, they wait for the appropriate train that is going the appropriate direction. There may be one or more rail transfers along the way to the final destination, and once they make it to the final stop, they wait for a car hauler to take it to the dealership. Anyone's dealer should be able to pull up the legs of the journey. Here's a sample of the route my TRX took when it was shipped in late 2021. In this image, my truck had not yet made the last legs of the journey, so the dates are blank.
Mine sat at the railyard for a month...buckle up.

According to my dealer 3.5-4.5 monthes. But I did notice to me anyways the more money they make off your build the faster it gets done. I could be totally wrong. The window stickers I've been seeing produced have been 90k builds. My poor level 0 is on back burner.

I am guessing mine will be delivered before the tracker says BUILT, SHIPPED, or the estimated delivery date updates from TBD. It is built though and has been given a WS (THANK YOU @Eighty). That RAM pizza tracker truly is something else, which is why I like DoorDash, it’s perfectly accurate following the driver around on the screen

I’m in the same boat as you. Production on 12/22 and BS by 01/06. My tracker changed to TBD when I checked today. Would assume good news is coming

Yep, I've used the brave browser since I found out about it in 2016. I use it for personal and work. Great browser! Yes, I work in cybersecurity and have for about 12 years. About 18 total in IT.
