Down pipes!!!!

I'm just patiently waiting for Dcchris311, or DBALLZ, or SS Works to get me a set of downpipes. More pictures and videos in the meantime would help the time pass by

I'm actually getting ready to place an order for 6 Gesi cats. I'll be able to make 3 downpipes with that, in the meantime that is being shipped, i'm having the custom v-band flange made. Hopefully I'll have a few sets ready to go by late July/early August. I'll upload a cold start video this afternoon.

Please Dyno when complete.

...with video so we can also hear it under load
It doesn't sound that good at WOT. Im running an x-pipe with 2 small bottle resonators. It sounds similar to a G80 comp at wot. I'm swapping out the resonators for some ultra quiet resonators from vibrant.

would love to see some dyno before and after with this setup. Do you know diameter and CPSI (cells per square inch) of the Cats used on this setup?
I didn't do any pre dyno runs, so I dont have anything to compare it to. The Gesi cats are 400cpsi 4" diameter, so my downpipe is 4" and then necks down to 3" right before the mid pipes connection.

Very nice 400 CPIS should breath pretty well very wide open! Do you know how diamater of the GESI cat compares to stock Cat?

Honestly, it's hard to tell the size of the oem diameter, I didn't want to cut off the heat shield thats around it, there's a high possibility that I might trade the truck in next year for a Ram Charger. I hope Anthony isn't reading these threads haha. I'll be using the 4.5" Gesi for the downpipe that I'll be offering to public. I used 4" for my personal truck. The reasoning behind that is because the 4.5" will support more of the exhaust load that a truck will produce while towing. I dont ever tow, so a 4" diameter catalytic is okay for my style of driving.

Man I wanna hear this thing in person

Im editing a driving video right now. The mic is in mounted right above the license plate just like the cold start video. Im going to be honest, im not a fan of it during wot, I say that only because of the x-pipe. We'll see how much it changes when I add super quite resonators. But in person, the cold start sounds amazing, it has a nice deep tone to it.

Here's a video of some driving. I didnt edit it down to much, so you might have to skip around. The mic gets blown out by how loud it is.... enjoy. I'll do a drive by of the exhaust with a stationary camera.

I like the snap crackle pop! What does the butt dyno tell you?

Oddly enough the low speed in the garage and just taking off reminds me of my Cummins motor. After that it just too much for me. I do like the intake sound. Is that just due to the 4” intake tube or did it also change with the down pipe? Does it still have the stock air filter? Any sound clip of the down pipes with stock exhaust?

Yeah, direct injection will give that diesel sound. My BMW sounded very similar, it was also a I6 3.0L turbo. I put a mic inside the air box, just so I can get a bit of the intake sound in the video. I have my 1 off intake system on my truck but if you get the new AFE oem drop in filter and the tube that I have, you should get some intake sound. I plan on releasing a package for the AFE filter. Something along the lines if you purchase a AFE filter from me, for an additional $40 I'll include the intake tube. It'll come in 3 colors wrinkle black, unpainted (raw aluminum) and black wrinkle. I don't do special colors, im all about function.

Here are a few revs, a quick drive off and you'll also be able to hear the turbo. Again sorry for the mic, im still trying to figure out where to place the camera and mic with it being overwhelmed by exhaust.

Why does it sound like it's blowing bubbles!???

Sounds good. So do you feel like it spools any quicker? To me that would be more important than the sound. Don’t get me wrong I like the sound in this clip.

I like the 3 colors two of which are black wrinkled, and wrinkled black. 😂
