Thanks bro, couldn't find the R at MSRP anywhere...I searched!! Out of principle, I refuse to pay markup! This actually worked out better, the R has the Recaros seats, and I love these seats more!! Been thinking if I need a V8 hotrod, I'm gonna grab one of the Saleen supercharged single cabs as well. That way I still have a bigger, usable truck for road trips.

First off, I've always loved the look of the Gen3.5 Raptor...definitely my favorite looking of all the trucks. I was seduced by the RHO performance numbers, price, and huge amount of tech. I watched that IGM video of the Black RHO rolling the streets at night and this thing looked so mean...plus it had red interior, I was hooked. I ordered and bought sight unseen. When I first got the truck and sat in it, the seating position in relation to the dash, how high and forward you sit, etc...I can't explain it, just felt strange. It's something I've been grappling with for a year. For whatever reason, I've never felt quite comfortable. That paired with the fact that the lumbar doesn't retract far enough for me to not feel like I constantly have a lump in my back finally did me in. I frequently do 5, 10, 15 hr road trips in this thing and I've never been able to feel fully relaxed and comfortable. I think my body geometry for some reason doesn't jive with the seat, and dash positioning. Now I know that may seem weird for some people, but for the kind of money we spend and the time spent in the seat, I want it to feel amazing.
Wifey has the Bronco Raptor with Recaros, super comfortable seats, just no ventilation. Out of curiosity, I went and sat in the Raptor with Recaros, I was surprised that they squeezed me too tight in the ribs and weren't as comfortable as hers. Better than the Ram seats, but not 'trade your truck' better. I decided to sit in the one with the regular seats, holy shit are those the softest, most plush seats I think I've ever sat in. I was able to fully sink into the bucket with nothing pushing on my back, no pressure points...unreal, I was sold immediately.
Now I've heard everyone thinks the RHO interior is better than the Raptor interior, and it's definitely nice! But, I personally like the Raptor interior, it has a ruggedness to it...and isn't as plasticy as everyone made it out to be. It definitely feels more spacious in the front seats because the dash is higher and farther away. RHO felt very sports car like..kinda wraps around you more, definitely lower and closer. It's a nice truck, but I prefer the look and feel of the interior on the Raptor, if I'm being honest. I wanted to super love the RHO, and there is a lot to like, the engine, drivetrain, and delivery is definitely superior and smooth. But for me, that's where the love affair ends. I'm not racing people and don't have the need for a truck that accelerates 1 second faster. Been driving this thing for 2 days now, and I'm so glad I found something that fits me better. Thought I might have 'ragrets', but nope...and that tells me that I made the right decision.
PS: The HUD is bananas huge, better too! It shows Android Auto turn by turn and tons of other info! Also Android Auto looks and functions much better on the landscape screen...Sync isn't laggy either.
Raptor mode is the shit too.

Anyhoo, this forum has been awesome, and I will be around, no worries. Watch, now the tuner will definitely be out next month because I sold. If Donut sells, y'all get a turbo upgrade and cracked ECU by September.

Congrats brother, was fun on the forums. Best of wishes with the new whip. I'm in the planning stages too. Not getting a TRX, I'm done with Ram for now. m3 competition next I'm thinking...orange with orange seats? Oh god, I'm cumming.

Or maybe now that my wife left me, and I have no supervision, I'll buy a zr1x. 20 year mortgage should the trick 🤣🤣
