Hood not aligned

I noticed this and was wondering if anyone else has this issue. Maybe not an issue yall tell me. Drivers side seems off compared to passenger side on the quarter panel and hood. Am I too picky or should this be fixed?

Mine is off there, the hood to fender, and the fender A-Pillar. Both the gap getting wider and the hood being sunken below the line of the fender. Plus, my tailgate is pushed to the passenger side and just kisses the bed side at the top when opening & closing. This seems to be a trend as far as the tailgate.

Mine had same issue. There is little twist knobs under hood to adjust it.

My hood was below fender as well. The twist knobs under the hood adjusted it.

My hood is good, but noticed my tailgate is a little off center. Gap on left side is about twice what the right side is. Does anyone know if there is an easy adjustment for this?

My passenger side is slightly off. It’s low & sits back at the front corner, high at the rear corner.

Frankly at this point, if it doesn’t rub against anything, I’m not looking for trouble.

I have both issues, hood is low and the panel gap from hood to driver side fender grows to 3/8”. I’ll see what the dealer says/does, if they can’t get it right I’ll take a crack at it.

Did the TRX have a power open& close tailgate like the RHO? I don’t want to do any damage to any mechanisms trying to correct the alignment

Mine was off on the passenger side. Flame Red too! I adjusted it by loosening the top fender 10mm bolts along including the one under front grill including top headlight bracket. Pushed it in alignment and tightened everything back up and it looks perfect. It's not the hood.

The TRX has power open, but not power close.

Mine was off on the passenger side. Flame Red too! I adjusted it by loosening the top fender 10mm bolts along including the one under front grill including top headlight bracket. Pushed it in alignment and tightened everything back up and it looks perfect. It's not the hood.

Mine is also off on my driver side but its off vertically. There's about a pinky finger gap between the tip of the Fender and the black valence above the headlight.

I did what you did and loosened 10mm along Fender and pushed the Fender in a bit. This helped and made the gap a little less both horizontally and vertically but can only go so far before gap gets too tight horizontally. I know its not going to bring the vertical gap down any further.

I cant fit fingers between hood and valence on the passenger side but on driver side still can fit pinky so still a ways out of alignment. Basically the tip of the Fender at the end has a large vertical gap

Do any gurus have a way to somehow bring the tip of the Fender down? In my eyes it seems like its a defective curvature from the factory on the fender and if I warranty i have to go talk to them, then may have a way to bring the Fender tip down . Or have to order new Fender and paint it. Just dont want to go through the hassle if I can do it. Im aware the hood adjusters can bring the hood down but then the Fender sits way above it.

Hard to tell exactly what you're describing. But I can tell you this - the hood alignment has been a problem for a long time. There are adjustment stops under the hood that allow you to change the elevation of the front end when closed. If you adjusted the front end of the hood up on one side, would that even things out for you?

For sure! im gathering that from scouring trx forum for answers. Some dudes said all 4 trucks they ordered were like that. Ill pin the thread that they were talking about my exact issue and some pics.

To answer your question, yes, i adjusted the hood adjusters and the hood is perfectly even with the fender on either side. The gap im talking about is the pics below. between the black plastic valence and the tip of the fender. Im wondering how to bring the tip of the fender down. I tried basically what others have suggested by taking out the 3x 10mm bolts along the fender and 2x headlight 10mm bolts then pushing it in/ down while tightening. It only tightened up the horizontal gap, brought the tip of the fender slightly down but did not bring the tip back to where it should be. still about 3/8"-1/2" higher than passenger side. i could fit pointer finger before, now just pinky.

Baically this thread says you can sometimes bandaid it and shim the fender down, but need to loosen the bolt inside the wheel well. Also that it can throw alignment out elsewhere if you do this. basically ram cant build straight consistent body panels.

My hood was also off. Brought it to the dealership body shop. They made a few adjustments. Its better but still needs work. When it gets warmer I ill try d tweak it some more.

For sure! The hood alignment itself is really easy to adjust (frnt to back and side to side ), just two 13mm bolts on either side. I did mine when i installed ditch light brackets.
