Maybe some of these guys at SEMA next week will have some more shit for me to look at and potentially buy.
I was looking to go....Maybe some of these guys at SEMA next week will have some more shit for me to look at and potentially buy.![]()
I did finally get in touch with RC and they said it is a clone of the Brembo 107955113 pad for the GT-6 BBK kits they make. Makes sense given the amount of brake dust.I am still in talks with EBC and hawk working on a pad. The GTR pad was close but not the cigar.
Thats as far as I got, and then EBC told us nothing to cross over. The issue I found with pads that were "close" is that the bottom area contacted the bolts on the two piece rotor.I did finally get in touch with RC and they said it is a clone of the Brembo 107955113 pad for the GT-6 BBK kits they make. Haven’t found an alternative yet or any factory vehicle that uses this pad though may have some version of the BBK system with slightly smaller pads. View attachment 21817

on a factory truck? Is anyone having issues with the brakes and rotors warping? I've had my truck for just over a year now and just going over 9k miles. I've had my brakes and rotors replaced (supposedly) twice. I'm about to take it in again. I called Mopar Support and they need it in the shop before they can dispatch someone to look at it. I did get a case created.
Yes, only 9K miles.on a factory truck?
I do not, I'm an old school driver (ok, I'm a bit old). I drive to and from daycare 7 miles away and twice a month to the office about 60 miles away.Do you ride the brakes…ie always have a foot on the brake pedal?
No one on this board has expressed this and quite a few of us drive our trucks hard.

My wife had a Jaguar S-type many years ago. Every 5K miles, it was in the shop getting new rotors due to brake pulsing. My wife claimed she didn’t drive the car hard. It got so bad, the dealer agreed to upgrade her to a model with Brembo brakes. Never had the issue again.I do not, I'm an old school driver (ok, I'm a bit old). It's the oh, there's a red light, let's speed up to get there as fast as possible just to stop as hard as possible. Been there, done that with the wife. Put brakes all around on her pathfinder rock creek at 18k miles cause they were smoked. Meanwhile, my Wrangler Rubicon had 24K on it and 6/32nds of pad left at inspection. My wife had a Jaguar S-type many years ago. I share the story because she continued to periodically get service summaries for the old car from Jaguar in her email. Jaguar bought the car back with 23K miles, after 3 new sets of rotors warped. At 128K miles, the car never got another set of rotors, even though it had a warranty to 100K miles from Jaguar.
So, were the rotors suddenly good, or was my wife just driving the car too hard.
You be the judge….
