How are the brakes working out and how hard was the install?

I don't have mine installed currently. Debating on a wheel option.

A couple of TRX guys have them on and waiting on some feedback!

Well…bought a set of these brakes from Nick during the Labor Day Sale(excellent deal btw), but…They do not fit on the stock 18” wheels. The edge of the caliper contacts the inside of the wheel.

Also, the shop said the stainless break lines don’t work due to the fitting being smaller than the proper size and the threads were different.

I like the factory wheel and did not want to change wheels. Pretty disappointed.

It was designed around the Ram 1500 in general which most of the higher trim 1500s have 20 inch wheels so I suppose an "out of sight out of mind".

Wilwood only clears 20 inch wheels, Alcon clears OEM(but for the price of this you can buy a set of 20 inch wheels and this kit). RC seems to be hit or miss trying to get a list of wheels that do clear so far only a few confirmed 18 inch wheels.

18x9 -12 is what I had on the shelf that cleared.

…aftermath. Had to go to bigger wheels but so far I am impressed. Stock wheel measures 17.5” I.D. So you need atleast a 18” inside diameter wheel. I went with a 20x10 -18 wrapped in 35x12.5 Ridge Grapplers and there is only 1” of clearance of the caliper, it’s beefy! If I can confirm the Weld or Enkei wheels measure 18” inside I might switch back to the oem tires.

I’ll give a more detailed review after a few hundred miles.

***Important***

A proper scanner/code reader is necessary to reset the brake system after installation. The “clear codes” function on a CAT6 will not suffice. The installer needs to be familiar with resetting the brake fault codes after installation.

I’d say 85 percent of aftermarket parts are Chinese or Taiwan and it’s all how it’s marketed / hyped.

Doesn’t mean it’s inferior. I don’t think you can go a day without touching something from there haha

It's funny when I hear the "cheap chinese" argument because it's relevant for some things, but in the industry I work in the chinese products dominate the american made stuff in every way. They are genuinely superior.

On our Mustang repo stuff (65-73), I’ll pass on anything Chinese. Taiwan is NOTHING like China. They make great stuff, often times better than the original. While China may “own” Taiwan…there are zero similarities.

Personal preference, but if I'm gonna put some beefy red shoes on her front feet...

...I'd like her shoes to match all the way around.

Correct, will not fit oem rho/trx wheels.
