INEXPENSIVE 6 Piston Brake Upgrade

Yes will not fit on stock wheels

I'd like to see some in Mopar Blue....
At the price point I think its hard to be picky on the color choice, plus they use the same caliper for multiple kits some are non mopar so red seems to be a good generalized color as most aftermarket or "performance" brake calipers are red.

Yeah...

But it's a moot point all around....

They won't work with the stock wheels, so it's a pass for me.

Stock Wheels would be Alcon

Stock Wheels would be Alcon
????

I have the BeadLocks...

Makes little sense to pay for the optional wheels, to pay again for new wheels, so that I can pay for upgraded brakes.

I am saying for stock wheels(beadlock or non)

Alcon brakes would be the way for you, unfortunately they are the cost of buying this brake kit and a set of 4 aftermarket wheels though.

do you all really feel the need to upgrade the OE brakes? are they known to fail or something?

I ran a few 1/4 mile runs and immediately realized I needed brakes. It's got one fairly good stop from 100 and then they are done.

No but we also don't all need 540hp baja trucks to drive back and fourth to work with 😅

You only have 540hp in yours, Nick? You should really look into some upgrades, man.

I have 20 JB4's and 10 CAT 6's in stock so i am gonna plug them all in and probably have 30000?

Just have to say i had order the Kit. Got it yesterday attempted to Install it today they looked nice in the box u take them out couple lil spot had ships of missing paint for one. Box was pretty well packaged. Prepared both calipers with pads. And lines etc. thank God i never disconnected my caliper or line or Cut ( even u really dont need to cut like they say cause it doesnt touch at all. But when pre filling calipers with brake fluid one caliper was. Leaking from banjo bolt. Before i torque anything i chat with them and call them and they gave me tq specs. Guess what. The caliper at least the one i got one out of two leaked and banjo threaded area on caliper with the torque they said. Went bye bye. And stripped. I cant tell the caliper material is not of high quality material if it stripped with the lil torque. And the braided line where the washer sits u can tell no quality inspection cause it was done incorrectly cause it to leak so i ended up sending them back today and wait for my refund. If no quality inspection then what tells me seals and other things will not last or crack or leak and paint it self was chipping easily
Im happy for the ones that got it installed and no issues. But not my case
my 2014 vehicle with 6 piston front Brembos and 4 piston rear. Has NO Paint chip and no issues at all

Did you join the forum just for this it seems? Curious is all. Did you purchase through us or RC directly? I don't see any tickets in our system or emails from anyone having this issue, but if you purchased through us & need support please reach out immediately!

I ordered straight to RC. And then searched online this forum came up and just posted my issue I didnt have good luck with them. The price is awesome. But no quality inspection Etc wish they did worked out on the first time but now is kind hard to believe in trying to buy another set i might buy a different brand but in the mean time see if other people have success with them and paint not chipping easily etc

That sucks, sorry to hear. I have been happy with mine. I would like to switch to a ceramic pad to reduce brake dust but still waiting for a reply from RC on which pads fit this caliper.

Not surprised with the increased brake dust given the size difference in pad though so I won't knock it for that. Performance has been what I was hoping for.

I am still in talks with EBC and hawk working on a pad. The GTR pad was close but not the cigar.

If one of these manufacturers made a bigger brake kit that fits stock wheels (& you didn't need to take out a 48 mo. loan to afford them!!) I'd be 1st in line.

I'm currently on the same brakes page as I am for aftermarket exhausts:

None of them makes me want to open my wallet...

Maybe this will change as more and more RHOs are on the roads, and aftermarket folks have more incentives ($$$$) to make products for our trucks.
