How many US based owners are experiencing 98 mph limitation? Seems like 1 or 2? Has Mark Dodge team responded to this? Does anyone have any solid answers from RAM?

We have R rated tires, Pretty sure thats 106 MPH tire? Anyway, on the way back home last night I gave it a push. Hit 105, had more left.

I thought the tires that were designed for the RHO were T rated…. Now I have to look at time when I get home.

Correct. Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT tires, speed rated for Q @ 118mph.

Brain fart, sorry. T is for 118mph. Q is the rating for 99mph. I see so many RHO and TRX's swapping tires for Q rated tires, forgetting that the trucks were intended to have T rated tires for 118mph. Not a whole lot of AT tires are T rated.

I am one since I picked it up. Right at 98 not matter how hard I push. Houston as well but Autonation.

My case manager just informed me there is nothing Ram will do about this. She stated there will be no software or fix and that 98 mph is the top speed moving forward.

I explained the Ram USA website still advertises a 118 mph top speed and 2026 models still have a 118 mph top speed. Still , nothing will be done.

I have an extremely difficult time believing this. They offered $3500 for my troubles! I asked for the buy back arbitration information. She will be sending that my way and cancelling my case. I can’t believe it. Lol

Hummmm, that is odd. I test drove the RHO i ordered but dont not take position of. When the salesman, and I test drove it. I hit the interstate at 101 mph. Had this older Ram with a 5.7 hemi wanting to play pass me ups. So I left him. I let off the gas at 117 mph cause of traffic.
I called the 800 number cause of the issues I was having with my 25 Rebel. Cash offer of $7,000 and I had to trade it in. Here I am 2 months in on a new RAM GT. Everything my RHO has but HO engine and wide body. And having trans issues and misfire.
Ram is having quality issues and I am stuck in the truck with that is has major concerns.

I swear I read Goodyear made these territory’s special for the RHO with a T rating. The only ones I can find online are in fact Q rated. It is possible that if you order the Ram P/N for the tire they could have the T speed rating, but now I want to know what’s on my truck lol. If it does have Q rated tires on it, that would explain all of this and I would own lots of people an apology when I said they were wrong. Lol

Maybe the export RHO's aren't getting T-rated tires or perhaps the various exportable countries have different rules for tire speed ratings and such?

The only other AT tires that are T-rated in this size are the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W and A/T4W tires. BFG KO3's are speed rated S for 112 mph. BFG KO2's are R-rated for 106mph, along with Toyo Open Country A/T III (excellent tires), and NITTO Recon Grappler A/T's. The rest of the A/T tires in the RHO/TRX size are all Q-rated for 99 mph.

Something to watch out for when getting new tires, as they offer the same tire in a lower speed rating and I don’t see where you can get it in a T rating. Might be a “dealer only” thing for the first year or something.

That’s what the recall says. They don’t get T rating and that’s why they get flashed to a lower top speed.

Interesting. The SERV DESC, in this case the 118T, with the T being the speed rating.
