Maybe I’m misunderstanding your statement, but I’m going to say that this isn’t true. There are at least two brands of tires in our size (325/65R18) that are T rated.
The stock Goodyears, and Falken Wildpeak A/T4W.

Sry, I ment in Europe (prob. Australia as well) not the US. Hence the export Q rated RHO with 98MPH...

The OEM T rated tires are not street legal in Europe/Australia. There are no (18+inch wheel) tires you can buy with a T rating. Only one manufacturer sells S rated 35 tire on 20inch wheel. No major tire maker offers any tire above Q rated. Go figure....

More and more I am convinced that this whole thing stems from RAM putting the EXPORT tune onto Kyle's RHO, along with a handful of others, and then when it was brought to their attention, instead of fixing it and nipping the issue in the bud, they doubled down on stupid and tried to get the people to be quiet about it all, and live with it. Only problem there is the EXPORT tune is not EPA certified for use in the US.

I would think they would be able to connect their computer to the ODBII port and read real-time performance stats during a test drive but it's possible they don't have that capability.

Easily surpassed 98 MPH, but noticed in Sport mode it likes to shift around 6000 rpm and I have yet to see a HP rating higher than 450 on the dash. Maybe I’m reading it wrong, but I know the truck is going faster than 98! Just expected more ponies to get there, maybe it’s because I live in a part of “Mexico” that is 6000’ high and use 91 fuel.

I hit 112 in the 2025 Tungsten H.O. !! Still bull shit to limit any vehicle we pay for without advising of such. And the bullshit Key card does not work and Ram customer care told me keep trying to program your card while Ram gets the issue fixed!! What If I bought my truck just for that?

That screen doesn’t seem to show correct HP. The drivers gauge cluster does.

It's the same situation for me. I top out at 460 - 470 most of the time. One cool morning I saw it hit 517 HP, only time I have gotten that. I am at 5280 ft. I swear when I got the truck though I was hitting 540 HP on the dash. I could be making that up but am a little concerned with that much HP drop on a forced induction engine at altitude.

Welp…took a long trip…tracked mpg…16.2 over 350 miles, 69-78mph

Before the ECU Flash that’s limited my top speed to 98mph (confirmed during this trip), I got 16.0 mpg on a similar trip. So, I’m thinking the 400+/-HP peak on the center display is just a software error.

BUT, my gage cluster is showing 520+/-HP peak. I know I’ve seen 540, when the truck was almost new, but weather was a bit cooler.

What's interesting is that the OP to this thread has apparently been contacted by RAM on this issue affecting his RHO, but he didn't want to say anything further out of fear that that might jeopardize his resolution, which infers that RAM is aware of this board.

I have an RHO on order as well, just waiting to be shipped to the dealer, and I'm on the fence about taking delivery, given RAM's handling of this issue. All you have to do is just tell us it was a mistake and you're working to resolve the issue. Not the "here's $3,500 to shut up and go away, and just live with it."

RAM 's not very quick on their feet. Most certainly, RAM can reprogram its PCM tune. They should have nipped this issue in the bud back in March when the OP first took his truck to his dealer and he mistakenly received the EXPORT tune flash, which limited his top speed to 98mph.

I can only specualte/hope that the MY26 RHO's are not being produced at SHAP with a limiter at 98mph, despite being equipped with T rated tires here in the US good for 118mph, but I would like RAM to put on thier big boy and girl pants, own this mistake, and all they have to do is just say, they are working on it.

Here's a good question that needs answering.....

Why do ANY of the RAM dealerships here in the US have the export tune to begin with? That software should never have gotten out of the Stellantis factory where these trucks are built. So how in the hell did the dealerships end up with it?

Well there is supposedly 200+ of owners with this tune. Time for one to step up and begin the legal process. I would name RAM, Stellantis and the Dealership who re-flashed your pcm. Contact the EPA while you’re at it.

I don't think that's what the recall is saying. It's saying that there are 200+ export trucks that had the US tune installed at the factory. So the recall form is saying that those trucks needed the export tune with the 98 mph governor installed. Then dealerships mistakenly installed the export tune onto US trucks and now were in this boat. I doubt we have an accurate count of how many US trucks now have the 98 mph governor.
