New info on 98 mph top speed.

Yeah it kinda sucks. Forced induction engines are supposed to lose a lot less power at altitude compared to naturally aspirated. So to be down 70-80 horsepower is kind of a big drop.

From what I read naturally aspirated vehicles lose around 3% power per 1000’ elevation gain. Forced induction rule of thumb is 1% per 1000’. So at 5300 feet like me that would be about 30 horsepower. Down 70-80 HP is a 13-15% loss.

My thoughts as well. I was a service advisor for Acura for 13yrs, so pretty familiar with the PDI process. Also familiar with how some techs like to "tinker with things". Good call on the documentation. I would imagine there would have to be a line added for any update, so the tech would get his .3 or whatever those pay now...

It was 8.5 years with Honda for me. And at times I was actually doing PDIs/accessories to help my techs when they got overloaded with multiple trucks. Fun times.....but NEVER again!

Yes, but his post stated it was removed from the 2025 model page... however it does appear the 0-100 in 11.x has been removed from the 2026 side, if it was here there.

10 year warranty only applies to original owner... And there's been zero confirmation that this update has actually been applied to any of the 26my coming from the factory.

I don't think that's what the recall is saying. It's saying that there are 200+ export trucks that had the US tune installed at the factory. So the recall form is saying that those trucks needed the export tune with the 98 mph governor installed. Then dealerships mistakenly installed the export tune onto US trucks and now were in this boat. I doubt we have an accurate count of how many US trucks now have the 98 mph governor.

Doesn’t matter. I’ve been in enough lawsuits to know how this works. Name ALL parties involved, see what kicks out. Dealer did the flash. Ram provided the software. Stellantis is the parent company. Let them figure out who is going to take the fall.

I think they will, your story has gotten a lot of traction with the YouTubers...that helps immensely.

So I never heard back from my prior case manager, so I think I should open a new case. I was able to change back to HP on my gauge, and it still shows 600. I did a speed pull and it is limited to 98 and too HP was 520. I know HP isn't accurate but it's not 540 like advertised. This is very much consumer fraud.
