Looks very similar to the bleed through spot on the leading edge of the hood on my truck, which also can only be seen under certain light conditions and angles.

Pathetic is right, it’s really tough to try to imagine the level of incompetence in Ram to let trucks leave the factory like this. And not just any trucks, ~$90K trucks!

I’m not going to let them repaint this truck because at the end of the day I don’t buy a truck for it to be repaired in a way that it will affect it long term as in fading and stuff but what can I say when factory is not any better. I’m scared if I trade it in the future which I know I will that the appraiser is going to say oh paint and body work that’s how bad this looks.

These trucks are much too expensive to have to accept this.

My honest opinion is the factory paint doesn’t even match. After 40 hour paint correction on my FBM, I could see slightly different shades from the doors, the bed and front fender. I’ve spent much time around $30K+ paint jobs on classics so I know when something matches and when it doesn’t. The factory paint is exactly that. It’s “good enough”. If you want to nitpick, I guarantee you are on the tip of the iceberg. I have a run mark down the driver fender where the two tone meets. It’s partly why I matte vinyl wrapped the gloss black. Unfortunately my suggestion would be acknowledge and move on.

I have a 2026 Canyon Lake. I have noticed in certain lights the gas door looks slightly different. I also just got it ceramic coated and found two raised pin areas on the tailgate. It seems like something very tiny was on the metal when it was painted.

I didn't buy a new truck to be repainted either. I'm not going to settle for the diminished quality and value that would result. I stand on principle and I'm prepared to go the distance. I will keep the forum updated.

My turn. Manufacture date of February 2026. Bought it June 1st. I washed it 3 days ago and it was normal. Just went out to wash it now and see this. Not the best image, I and my wife's car are in the reflection but you can see the fading. I guess I'll call the dealer and see if they can get me a replacement or remove and repaint it? I haven't noticed anywhere else on the truck so I'll consider myself luckier than others.
