Paint Defects

Seems like every black RHO I come across, the gas cap looks like this.

I had come across many on different forums before I decided on the black or Forged Blue. If that's the only paint on the truck that has an issue, I'll get it taken care of. I'm used to "Just good enough" paint jobs from the factory. My last truck was a 2015 Tundra. Paint was even worse.....

Here goes my defect and I’ve opened a case because I didn’t pay for a truck to be like this.

I thought they couldn't screw up white but I had blue primer showing through my white paint on the door and defects on the hood, figures! I traded it in for a Molten Red RHO I did not want to go through the hassle of getting 1/3 of the truck repainted. RamCares kept blaming the paint issues on the dealership for "not catching it". Don't take no for an answer from Ramcares. They were absolutely horrible to work with but I finally got some money from them towards the trade in.

That is so funny, as I did not know dealerships did the paint work.
Talk about extreme ownership, lets not blame the plant or quality control for not missing it. Damn dealers shame on them.

I just had a detailer at my house doing some other work. I didn’t say anything to him about my paint problems on my RHO, but I told him I was originally looking at an ATX 4. He said the paint on those trucks was horrible, be glad I didn’t buy one. Apparently this is the production quality you can expect now on many or all brands. What a shame!!

My silver billet has some issues but overall, paint looks good. I even too it to a body shop and tech recommended not to worry as most silver paints have the same issue and pointed to a corvette there they were repairing for other problems. It had same metal flake grouping issue.
