RAM Street truck.. again

Just saw this on insta. Looks like it's going to be lowered widebody after all. I think can see the wide color matched fenders and the vents. Factory roll cage as well as a spoiler inspired by the NASCAR Ram.

Can't imagine anything else than hellcat in it.

My good friend in Bossier City just bought a Ram (650 Hemi) is what’s on the rear bed. 3.0 Whipple on 5.7. 650 hp and 0-60 in approx 3.5. It will run with a may beat the 777 hp TRX just due to size and weight. Warranty voided if he goes over 4K rpm in first 1500 miles. It’s appointed or whatever you want to call it by Fox something.

Voiding warranty for that is crazy. Yes that truck is a collab with Fox Shocks. Ugly “Foctory Direct” embroidery on seats and the hemi has the heinous e-torque system. They’re also $100k for like a big horn trim with nicer seats.

Wednesday 5/20, is the official “spill the beans” date on the new Ram street truck.

I’ve yet to hear any clips from Ram that feature a supercharger sound. And, Tim K has talked about it being “affordable”.

So, 5.7L RWD may be the deal. Of course, SRT 392 & 426 may also show-up, but in FT 4WD form & higher MSRP. Though, has Ram ever used the 392 in ANY of their pickups?

If RHO forum has taught me anything, that wide-body look is a main attraction, if not THE main attraction. Powertrain comes in later in the decision hierarchy.

I’ve read for years where that 5.7 can’t handle that type of power. The new street truck my friend has over in Bossier sure makes me miss my old TRX whine. But that’s all I miss.

However, you can already tell from the pictures. It’s not single cab.

I hope not, stock 5.7 hemi would be a let down in a sport truck. No fun being slower than a base model hurricane in your sporty widebody truck. Needs a 6.4 or a HO hurricane in the budget truck as far as I'm concerned. Still plenty of headroom between a 485 or 540hp truck and a 777hp hellcat. 5.7 with 395 is just not enough anymore.

I input this the other day. My friend just bought a so called lowered street truck from Landers in Bossier City which is a 5.7 with a 3L supercharger putting out 650hp. On the bed it has 650 Hemi.

the issue with that truck is its basically a factory endorsed aftermarket truck. Not a built motor that was designed for boost, its a cool looking lowered bighorn with a bone stock 5.7 hemi with a supercharger... cool but not a fully developed OEM truck, and the 5.7 hemi was never designed for boost in the way a hellcat or hurricane is.

And I agree 100%. Hopefully my friend doesn’t push it too hard, but then again, he bought it for a reason. I was Suprised it was on a Ram dealership lot. But I guess it’s kind of like Rocky Ridge, Black Widow and other trucks that are just added to.
