From always having a V8, I am really liking the hurricane. The power is quick.
Right? The big brag is the sound and slightly faster acceleration. Beyond that they are exactly the same truck. I even find it funnier that the 0-60 is the preferred metric a lot of TRX guys want to cling to. Say what you will about the Cybertruck, but if 0-60 is all you care about it absolutely kicks the TRX’s ass in that stat.I find it odd TRX guys would have an issue with the RHO. I could see a thread discussing the features of the 2025+ architecture and minor cosmetic enhancements. I dont think about TRXs and I would have the believe the feeling is mutual lol

To be fair, I’d be completely pissed about spending $110k+ on a TRX Final Edition to see the exact truck hit the market with a hurricane at low $60s after dealer discounts just the following year… especially when a $500 tuner makes the RHO run the same 0-60 time.Right? I have owned many new Ram Trucks..... My son loves the Ram trucks. He drove my new Ram Tungsten with the Hurricane and came back after he drive it and said wow that hemi for 2025 is much faster!! I then explained to him, it was not a hemi .... He laughed and said they don't have the big Cummings diesels in the 1500 series. I popped the hood, and he freaked out, not knowing Ram had the hurricane. You cannot tell it's a 6 banger.if I didn't have any experience with the hurricane and there was good old V8 option I would go with V8.. just because it's simplicity and sound.
I get that, but the TRX buyer/owner literally watched the MSRP climb from RHO launch prices to the six figure final editions over 4 years and kept buying it. Hell… there’s still people buying them used at or over msrp. That sounds like a personal problem. To be fair, I’d be completely pissed about spending $110k+ on a TRX Final Edition to see the exact truck hit the market with a hurricane at low $60s after dealer discounts just the following year… especially when a $500 tuner makes the RHO run the same 0-60 time.
Exhaust note is all they have left to hang on to. Nobody in their right mind can truly put a $50k price tag on “sound” being subjectively better.
By TRX guys or the general pop?I have been exhaust dogged twice. I’m like, I’m not your competition but thanks for hating!
I agree, but it just isn't going to be worth it unless they keep it within $5-10K of the RHO... And honestly... Having put 10k miles on my RHO since August, I'd have a really hard time giving up the hurricane. It's just too damn good! If the rumors hold and they do come out with a MOPAR backed tune.... Well, I really think you're going to see just how many people are truly dedicated to letting everyone else hear they have a Hemi, no matter the cost!New TRX should be a completely badass truck. If I had the budget for it I would definitely jump into one. But knowing it’ll be significantly more for literally the identical truck with a motor swap, I’m plenty happy with the RHO. It’s realistically faster than I need. Especially if they release a factory backed tune.

I’m with ya, Donut. But it’s going take a TRX with a 1000 HP Hellaphant motor to pry me out of a factory tuned RHO.For me it's simple.
Tune (~100hp) comes out: I keep RHO
Tune doesn't come out: I trade in my RHO for $10 and finance a TRX for 30 years, my wife gets mad and leaves me, I marry a supermodel, and win the Powerball.
For sure dude, the idea of this factory tune is basically what's been getting me out of bed the last 2 monthsI’m with ya, Donut. But it’s going take a TRX with a 1000 HP Hellaphant motor to pry me out of a factory tuned RHO.
Every man has a price…mine is 1000, horsepower that is.For sure dude, the idea of this factory tune is basically what's been getting me out of bed the last 2 months![]()
I want 126hp factory tuned boost so I can make up custom badge replacement for the hood that says "Category 666: Hellicane U.H.O"Every man has a price…mine is 1000, horsepower that is.
Bro, if you don't buy...I swear. For sure dude, the idea of this factory tune is basically what's been getting me out of bed the last 2 months![]()
