Really no subwoofer?

Do you have L1? The HK in my option isn't as good as the L0. Yeah you guys more speakers and higher watt amp but that don't mean shit. One of many reasons I did not go with L1.
 
This is my second bad experience with CDJR "premium" stereos so I'm 2 out of 3

This is interesting. I had the same Harmon Kardon system in my 2022 Rebel, but I think it's actually better in my RHO.

I know very little to nothing about car audio, but I wonder if there's something going on with yours.

Sure it's not going to sound like a $100,000 Mercedes Benz, but I think it's definitely a very decent middle of the range stereo system.
 
My system bumps pretty hard, although I do have it cranked up to 28 most of the time...Between the concerts in the 80s/90s/2k and Jack Hammers I am deaf AF...

In my buddy's TRX the HK sub hits so fucking hard, you have to back it off -5.
On mine, I run it +5 and I still had to add another Kicker 10.
 
Is there an easy way to pull the ? I recall seeing somewhere that you could to a hack to make your seat back foldable on rigs with reclining rear seats.
 
I am wondering if we had better EQ adjustment options in our in-dash head unit if that would improve the sound. Would it be worth adding an aftermarket EQ?

No hack, just reach back there and pull the string to release it.

Yes I have a L1 and I'm considering taking this thing down to Crutchfields and see what they say but I'm afraid they are going to up-sell me on some ridiculous $$$ solution. Just blows my mind that my 23 Power Wagon sub was just enough and you could tell it was there but this thing.... I think I will at least first wait for the first oil change and see what the dealer says and see what they other similar systems on the lot sound like.
 
Double confirmed the speakers are there. Reach in from the middle, find the string and pull. You might have to try pulling outboard vs inboard but it does work.

I have a L1 with the HK and I do have sub because I turned the bass up to 11 and could feel it, but barely. From looking at the back wall of the cab you wouldnt know anything was back there. Also had this empty plug which initially made me suspicious no sub was there.

Kinda surprised there are no openings or anything like it looks like @Eighty has in the pic above mine.
 
Ok so what can we fit in the stock sub space? Anything worth while or jus do custom box?
