Really no subwoofer?

I have the 19 speaker HK system and level 1. No sub though

You probably have one it just is not putting out anything like mine. It is starting to get to me since there is no bass anywhere in the system and a dead zone where the sub is. Went through RAM customer service and did a soft and hard reset and NOTHING and that is after the dealer said we can't help you and you're not the only one.

No impact from anything I have done in settings. I suspect its the amp they looked really cheap when I looked them up on Mopar.

Don't forget to turn on "surround sound" in your stereo options. No clue why turning if off is even a choice, because it sounds absolutely horrible without it.

For whatever reason mine was off from the factory and I didn't realize until like 5 days into ownership.

Any update on this? I'm not 100% sure yet, but I'm fairly confident my sub only decides to work below a specific frequency and there's a LPF demon somewhere in the system doing stupid shit I don't want it to do, like change that frequency on the fly.

If I can find my old dB meter and some Hz test tracks I'm game for testing on a lazy weekend.

I was driving somewhere expecting a bass drop, nothing happened except mid-freq hits, and "that mfer JunkYardDawg is on to something" was my only thought.

Agree. Turning on surround sound makes it sounds incredible. Without it sounds very weak and tinny.

One thing I do have to say about the HK system, not sure about the L0 alpine, but I really hate how the rear door speakers are treble only (for bass) and have no highs at all. The only thing my rear door speakers put out is that… my front door speakers, and the roof speakers behind my moon roof are all highs

Double confirmed the speakers are there. Reach in from the middle, find the string and pull. You might have to try pulling outboard vs inboard but it does work.

I have a L1 with the HK and I do have sub because I turned the bass up to 11 and could feel it, but barely. From looking at the back wall of the cab you wouldnt know anything was back there. Also had this empty plug which initially made me suspicious no sub was there.

Mine looks exactly like yours. Did you ever dig into what that plug is for? I’m super curious now.

If I am being honest, I did not notice a whole lot of difference in sound between my Alpine system and the HK. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was somewhat disappointed.

Nope, so I did call Stelantis AI and it recommended to do a soft reset of the system and if that didn't work do a hard reset which did work but had to reset everything back up. Bass is still anemic but there is some. I just don't like the Uconnect system it tries to do to much yet is very limited in what you can adjust audio wise but I suspect that if you could do more it wouldn't help because its all junk speakers and amps. I'm not in high school and not a millionaire so I don't want to spend thousands of dollars an a super cool thumping system to fix it so I guess I'm stuck with it at least for now. Its dangerous being less than an hour away from Charlottesville home of Crutchfield lol. Good thing though I try to stay away from that town and is blue haired communist fs.

You could add a powered subwoofer for less than $500 probably
